Yank, here. This chap is the best guest yet. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I saw this mastermind on Dyer’s TV program some years ago. Thank you, Shaun. And cheers to all of you English lads & ladies watching the interview! 🏴 England!
Best interview so far by a country mile. I could listen to his stories all day! Talk about a fascinating life! Brilliant work Shaun on getting him for the Podcast.
I have both of David’s books, and I love to listen to him speak. I lived in Thailand for 16 years and so many of the places he talks about are places I know well, and he has very rare and detailed insights into the way things are in Thailand that you never really hear anywhere else.
Let's just forget that he is personally responsible for the destruction of thousands of lives and unknown numbers of girls hooked on drugs as part of false prostitution, not to mention babies born addicted to drugs, families shattered and human potential destroyed while he earned millions. We get outraged by men in Hollywood who sexually exploit women and make a hero of drug sellers. Where are the brains and where is the humanity of people watching this?
@@downsouth5971 your negativity isn’t wanted or needed. It’s part of life having crime and if it isn’t your thing to listen too then there’s plenty of corrupt, Sorry I mean genuine police officers stories you can listen too 🥴
Have listened too all 9 parts of these pods in the last cpl days, and re listened too the best bits. What a fascinating story, great shawn got him as a guest!
its a posh old australian accent. From the time when the aussie accent was still transitioning from the proper english it used to be to the one we recognise today.
=== Hi Jimmie; well, prompted by you and quite a few others, I’ll be putting out an audio version of the books. Recording now, and due out in about a month. Actually, helps because these events are so complicated (as real life is!), that I’m sure it’s not only easier to follow if I tell it myself, but more entertaining. I think a first for true-crime books to have the writer himself do the reading
Shaun, you are really getting the guests on now mate!!! It's great that you're covering all types of criminal and their varying opinions, good to see your channel go from strength to strength!!!
He is so correct. We fear the unknown so even his manner of speach spawns mystery. Love his sense of humor. I could listen to him all day. Thanks again Shaun.
Wow what a podcast. This man is just what you'd expect a movie villain to be like. Well spoken, connections all over the world and always has people who need him alive. I'd be much more worried about getting into business with him than I would someone who's more broad than brain. The fact he exudes intelligence and speaks so articulately also made this an interesting listen. Best one yet Shaun. Keep it up
I kind of want to hear David talk more about the little bit of trivia from his dealings with crime ( like rubies showing up on x-rays because of their aluminium content and being able to smuggle certain organic goods in wood because they look the same on an x ray) as well as the cooler stuff like breaking out of prison and his personal experiences, I think he is quite an interesting character.
He’s not that old, but anyway I did volunteer at an old peoples home when I was younger and oh my god some of the stories are amazing. It’s easy to forget that in most cases old people are just young people who have been around a long time!
He got people hooked on heroin and used and dropped them. He organised mules. Also hints at people being terrified of him. Total scumbag. Smart no doubt but evil. Now that he is old he plays at being regretful and reformed. Give him his youth back and a new identity and he would be back to his old and utterly evil tricks in a heart beat.
I seen this guy David on tv before I was pure mesmerized by him he his the real deal what a man a true genius balls of steal clever very intelligent and a gentleman I'm sure he has plenty of more story's he keeps to himself aswell...this is a guy to look up to :)
Hollye Rorabaugh he’s such a character isn’t he, I’m trying to see all the other programs he’s been on. I love people that aren’t who they come across as, hidden in plain sight baby! Your super fine!! Just had to mention that. Lovely 😊❤️
nice one shaun. I read party time and hard time but I think I've got the old additions so might have missed epic stories. well written and gripping. ps as soon as I heard wild man mentioned in your books I would roll a spliff and make a cup of tea for the laughs that were coming. LEGEND
Wow, I'm an Aussie and I'd never heard of this guy until now. This dude is hardcore, it's rare that I ever see anyone that I'd follow behind and no offence Shaun, I was impressed by what you did, what you made, lost and your survival. But as a criminal, McMillian is leagues ahead of anything you ever did.
Oh, I'm sure Shaun would have been climbing on that rope if the situation demanded it! And keep in mind, there's some things just too raw to tell. (Though, next year, I'll be putting out some books called 'fiction', which, with name changes, will be the only way to tell some stories without getting old pals nicked!
@@DavidMcMillan888 - Oh shit, a reply from an actual RU-vid person! A first for me. I'll keep an eye out for those books, mate. And can't wait to hear Pt 2. . BTW, my entire life I've aspired to be able to speak like you. Aristocratic with a villainous edge. I'm working on it, I've come a long way from the bogan SE Melbourne vernacular that I was raised with...
Why do you take him as being disconnected from reality??? He has a very matter of fact way about things, but I'm not getting a dissociation vibe from him. (I'm not being funny with you, just interested)
