Joe is right. This song is a masterpiece. Beautiful! Bravissimo! Magnificently constructed, brilliantly played, and a masterful quality sound from the Shigeru Kawai!
David, I want to thank you for your beautiful work for l am a musician also.l sing in a church choir and have for 17 years.l LOVE music from all genres except anything that is ugly lyrically or hip hop and ugly language on anything.l would LOVE to sing while you are playing. If you would send me your contact information l will send you a message on how to hear me sing.l LOVE the LORD and just want to serve HIM.THANK YOU FOR YOUR FAMILY AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL COMPOSITIONS.Sincerly TOM H.
@@lynnmackay2755 Yea, it's hard, but even harder is the integration between the two pianists... there are time changes and other things happening that are really tricky. When Neil and I decide to perform this, we have to get together multiple times to relearn it and get re-accustomed to each others timing. It takes a while. It's not just something we can sit down and play... takes lots of practice and prep! :)
This song is awesome!! It has the lower keys and the higher keys, and my favorite part is the stucatto part. You as always compose nothing but masterpieces.
A remarkable beautiful piece, I think it could be re-arranged and played (as a cover) in many ways, from progressive rock to jazz. Perhaps music is truly infinite, thank-you.
This is one of the best solo piano pieces I've ever heard. I know there's two of them playing but it's still classed as solo piano right? Haha A pure masterpiece
@@Thefortniteproyx Completely by feel... I can't play with a click track. It's like putting me in chains. :) I play entirely by feel and flow, not by meter.
@@DavidNevuePiano haha I Know what you mean, i don't think it's necessary for solo piano work, I was just curious as I'm in a Heavy metal band and we have to play to a click track but it makes sense for that style.
Thanks David for this beautiful song. Is there a version for solo of it ( just like the song you make with Joe Bongiorno Ëclipse ) and have you done more of this songs ? I hope you make a lot of this songs in the futere. Your fan Anita
Hi Anita... thanks for writing! No, there isn't a solo version of this song. I can't even imagine how I'd do that. The difference with Eclipse is that that one started out as a solo song... it was composed that way... and then Joe adding his part came later on during an improv we were doing. Clockwork began it's life as a four hand improv, so it started with four hands going in the first place. So glad you like it!
Hi +Morgan Victoria . The song started out as a 4 hand improvisation at a concert. You can find the video of that at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iV50NRxsoo0.html . That's where it all started... we liked the improv so much, that Neil and I started arranging it "for real" .
@@DavidNevuePiano Haha, yes! I actually played this with Kathy Parsons, in front of John Paris!! 😬😬😬 It was so scary!! Timing has always been a problem for me. I don't count while I'm playing... I literally just guesstimate how long to hold the notes. Do you actually count, and if you do, how?? XDDD I'm pretty sure you do, but I just want to know... XD
