I'm still suspicious that's why bertuzzi appeared to come like a bat out of hell, had a lot more spunk than many other players. He never took the poke. Couldn't play in Canada while he was on Detroit Red wings. I think that's what ended Jonathan toews career, there have been some young healthy athletes keeling over in lower leagues from enlarged hearts and autoimmune disorders. I'd already gone 12 rounds with the CDC on a tick bite, yeah many of us already know what they're all about - I wasn't stupid enough to be their guinea pig either. But Bert defected to Toronto, so the hell with him lol!

@@BostonsF1nest yeah NHL is a super high paying sport, but its really not that much compared to other sports. (Cant believe I'm saying that when they still make millions a year to play a sport) Even lots golfers in the PGA right now are making more then 90% of NHL players.

Hockey used to be the working person's blue-collar sport, back when it was fun. He'd be over 12 mil per year with many other teams. Grateful he took a loyalty contract But these Eastern European players that live in Massachusetts, have to pay so many taxes... Their agents take a cut right off the top. They have to pay a tax in every state and ice arena they play in... And he has to pay taxes to czechia. He brings home about 30% of what he makes. The taxes he has to pay on the cars in czechia are crazy. So the hundred-thousand-dollar car actually cost him closer to $160,000. He's rich, but not wealthy What was interesting was last summer, he gave a radio interview in czechia and it translated as-he's not in the u.s.a. cuz he wants to be an American. He loves his country and his region... He's here for one reason and one reason only-the Stanley cup. It's too bad this video didn't mention the fact that when he first started scoring after his father died, when he would drop to one knee and blow a kiss to the heavens? That was for his dad... I cannot wait to see his cellie, tribute to his dad, when he finally gets his cup.

No. I estimate it on about 45-60 percent of their current total earnings to date. Taxes and agents fees account for actually 60% not 50%. And since most of their endorsement deals are private I do my best to estimate. After that I account for what assets they have and subtract the liabilities.

That would make his total earnings from his 7 year career about $60 Million, not including taxes and agent fees. How did you get the number $63 million?

you should see the taxes they have to pay back and Eastern Europe, czechia. Especially now with the wars going on. he most likely paid close to $160,000 total for the Porsche, 40% wealth tax or more. Then they have to pay taxes to every state and some cities where they play hockey within the NHL. I.E. They have to pay taxes to the state of Washington and Seattle. I think it would take a team of accountants to figure out exactly what ends up in their bank accounts. And probably a few forensic investigators to audit the people taking their money! It's far beyond my pay grade and I'm into international finances. There's an awful lot of funny money in the NHL. I'm an original sixer, Bobby Orr fan club member. It's a very different sport. I've noticed over the past decade or two since we've been able to access information on the internet, that the money, facts, even players' heights- change. I've tried to do research on how some of these contracts work out. And basically get stonewalled at one point or another where they just go off into generalizations. Too much funny money going on. We'll never know.

Holy smokes. If you cannot recognize his individual quality even tho he is surrounded by great players, you are a total douche to say he is nothing.

Oh I think pasta would do very well on many teams - he'd take a different role. But I agree with your concept. I was a bit disturbed at how upset bruins fans were at losing bertuzzi, he was only here for ten weeks, the Bruins made him a better player. There was only one place to go from Detroit Red wings! Being on the bruins made him better, don't think he's going to get those type of stats like that, in such a short span of time, again in his career. We got his plus-minus rating way up for him. Then he defected to Toronto lol! And for some reason they're relating his going to Toronto to bringing in Milan lucic. There's a huge difference between those two players- one of them wants to play on the bruins very badly, and the other one doesn't want to be there. That's going to affect both of their playing Coming full circle- clearly pasta wants to be here. And this is the role we're seeing him play on this team.
