@@asdf66981First thing they looked at, you can see Monty looking at the video. The timing of the play is so hard because he has to hit the blue line at full speed and still be behind the puck.
Pasta scored many beautiful goals.. but this will forever be THE goal. After being challenged by the coach, by the fans, by everybody, he came and scored a goal of his life. Love the story!
That won’t be “the goal”or the goal of his life🤣🤣that was against the first rounders😭 For it to be considered the goal of his life, means scoring in a game where the outcome is unknown…All the leafs accomplished was to postpone the inevitable.
Marner hopped off the boards and started skating alongside Pasta…then just stopped. Can’t blame Samsonov on that one. If Marner keeps skating he easily breaks up the play.
I just saw that...... That alone should just seal the fate for that guy's place on the team.....It says a lot about his character as a player.....absolutely ridiculous......that goal could have been prevented completely but i know what his excuse is gonna be. He is gone for sure and keefe for sure as well
Not to mention Reilly being caught completely flat footed and barely attempting to reach that puck in time. Both him and Marner just stopped skated as if it was a leisurely pre-season game. Seeing their effort you’d never guess this was a game 7 overtime… Seriously Marner that was ridiculous. It wasn’t like he was burned out - he literally just hopped off the bench. He should be full of energy and skating with his man, not letting him breeze by.
@@planetcaravan2925 They did want him. They just couldn’t fit him under the salary cap. Don’t be surprised if he surfaces back in Boston next season as he’s an unrestricted free agent.
@@whosregis nesn is specifically new england and doesn't broadcast nationally at all so i feel like it's perfectly fine to be biased as a commentator there, on national tv tho i feel like it shouldn't be this obviously biased one way or another lmao
Well, in all fairness to Chris Cuthbert and Craig Simpson, this is a Canadian national broadcast with an overwhelming audience rooting for the Leafs and the two of them also being somewhat directed by the producers of Hockey Night In Canada to chat up the team from Canada, so I don't mind cutting Cuthbert some slack. And I'm a Bruins fan.
The CBC, Toronto people, and Toronto fans think Toronto and Ontario for that matter, is the most important area in Canada!! BS! As a Canadian, I am so happy the Leaf's lost. They think everything centers around Toronto. Ridiculous!
Ron Maclean should've said this on HNIC. "It reminds me of my favourite Disney movie Some Nazi Things Happening on the Way to the Boston Garden and I loved it as a kid!"
Everyone who's putting down the Leafs , needs to be reminded that the first time they beat the Bruins this season was in this series. To take it to OT in 7 game is commendable
I could not believe my eyes they totally turned into statues and watched him skate past them and end their season.....they looked like spectators in the stands instead of players on the ice...... man it was sad...Toronto and my flyers are jinxed.....no cup in 50 years......no cup anytime soon
That was a terrible defensive marking gap. Pasternak is a right winger. Generally, that is a left D-man's mark. This is good for the Leafs. I am glad they are not going further. They need to make some real changes to the roster. Now the new leafs GM has seen what this team is and what pieces to change. Start with Sammy and the D-CORE. It would be nice to see them get rid of the Tavares contract and add some top notch D man and a better goalie than Sammy.
The Cuban Missile Crisis was more recent than the last time The Maple Leafs knocked out Boston The Moon Landing is more recent than The Maple Leafs last Stanley Cup parade
Always kind of knew that they were gonna lose this is just getting ridiculous bring on the compilations 😂😂😂😂😂😂but seriously, Great job this year. Lots and lots of love from Canada. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I wish the bruins had enough space in the salary for bertuzzi and I felt bad seeing him lose his 2nd game 7 and we should’ve traded some players like ullmarck and debrusk to maybe squeeze a spot in for bertuzzi but the look on his face really got me ngl
Not only did Pasta deliver....on the ABC broadcast, just as the play was developing, both Sean McDonagh literally said to each other that is was likely going to be some kind of a 'weird bounce' that would lead to the winning goal. Sure enough, the puck took a strange hop off the boards and came right back out, right to where Pastrnak swooped in & potted the puck in behind Samsonov. Heck of a play for sure. Well Done Pasta! Congrats Bruins on once again winning Game 7 vs the Leafs & Best of Luck in the next round. 🤝 🙂
5 stooges couldn't bank in any goals all game. Like I said in the beginning. Whoever wants it more in the playoffs moves on and it's that simple. Boston deserves the win!
1st Boston goal: on Ilya Samsonov (prepared for farside shot rather than shortside) 2nd Boston (OT) goal: on Mitch Marner (failed to cover Pastrnak) & Morgan Rielly (failed to beat Pastrnak without Marner covering him); no way Samsonov would have stopped that For those arguing for an icing call, Pastrnak would have beat out the icing without Marner covering him
They are blaming samsonov crazzzyyy...if they had a coach with a pair he wouldve told the pretty boys no more beiber hang outs until they start winning playoff series
@@raran44 im a leafs fan and have no issue admitting we suck. I think pound for pound we're the worst team in professional sports. Biggest hockey market, most money, and we cant do anything. Even Vegas won the cup. We know we suck. We've sucked since the lockout. Dont think it will change any time soon.
Tavares runs into another leaf, marner comes on after a change and puck watches instead of covering pasta, the leaf defence becomes out of position once the puck goes into the corner because he was covering a guy. Goal
Lindholm scored a brilliant goal. A simple wrist shot for accuracy. But it was deliberate. And a brilliant pass to Pastrnak, who completed it masterfully. When two geniuses interact, the rest are simply silent.
There is video of Pasternak talking to a Bruin on the ice.. can anyone verify if this is Lindholm? That definitely appears to be a designed play. Pasternak was so smart to allow the puck to cross into Leafs zone before crossing the blue line.
The refs put more effort than the Leafs' defense. It's amazing how they were still able to carry them to overtime and still lose. The leafs are truly the most pathetic franchise in all of sports history.
The Leafs are NHL's version of baseball's Chicago Cubs, with the same rallying cry, "Wait until next year", as if that will make any difference, eh? Oh well, there's always 1967, old time hockey.
Leafs aren’t going anywhere with this team. The front office has to go. Top to bottom, we need major shake up. Get rid of Tavares, trade marner, get a freaking goalie..
Number 44 - he is not worth the money - watch him from behind trying to catch up once again! This guy thinks he is Bobby Orr The leaf's need defense that are bigger and can CLEAR THE NET!!!!! I will never pay for a leaf game, buy a sweater, and at most watch half the the game, this organization only cares about MONEY not the game
Leads need to trade all the 180 lbs little girls they have on the team and pick up some real men and real hockey players who can compete with other teams.
@@georgevila1778 Bruins isn't mine and I'm hoping Panthers walk all over them. I'm just having fun with Leafs losing first round again. I'm rooting for Oilers but really not expecting them to go that far either lol.
@andrewgeorgelang : Hope you made your flight plans to be in Augusta, Georgia, because after Game - 4 of the Conference Semi - Finals, that is exactly where you will be heading.
