David rodigan is a music pioneer and should be in the rock and roll hall of fame one day for his contribution to the music world , he certainly earned a spot in reggae music hall of fame without a doubt
People just don't realize how respected reggae music is in Europe especially in England, David rodigan is personally responsible for that from his time on the air wave as a radioDj he had the #1 reggae music show for many years until he built his sound system and started traveling all over the continent holding concerts he even played in Russia this is the period when dance hall reggae music exploded all over europe

This man Rodigan was a historian he gave you the history lesson on the dub plate before he drop them. He was one of the best to do it and I had the pleasure seeing him in action several times
Radigan is dope, hand up to him all day but he only played 2 real good tunes the cat tune and the garnet tune the rest was flopped, bag o man fi radigan present that night, bass Odessy Murdered Radigan I guess they had to show him some respect.

Aint gonna lie I learned about classic reggae from rodigan play music nuff big sound can't play . Rodigan kill nuff sound boy loosing to the sound system from England killed a lot of selectors career , problem is they underesti mate the music man from England and the fact that he is white many of them didn't start giving him his respect he was due until they got their ass kicked

Both sound systems played good music, is how the crowd respond to the music. When you are going on a sound clash,you haveto played house hold music which the people know the singers. If you played music which is not popular with the crowd, you cannot win.Man like John Holt,Desmond Dekker, Delroy Wilson, Gregory Isaac, Johnny Clarke, Pat Kelly,Ken Boothe,Junior Byles, uRoy,Mostly popular singers .Derrick Morgan.
I wish they would play the dub plates a bit longer as it would make the event even better as it is the music that determines how good the night is and creates the vibes.

Adrian Combes When Bass Odyssey played back the people boo it though, you could hear. I thought Rodigan's Garnet Silk (Let Them Talk) should have won over Bass Odyssey's (Oh Me Oh My) though.
