I literally just had a conversation about this movie with my sister because she’s the only person I know who has seen this film also and I literally described it as a “fever dream” movie
I been thrown through a table actually I tripped and this was one of those tables that folded so dang did that hurt my shoulder was sore and chest and leg for some reason and my shades broke
Remember my uncle watching this movie one day and I got sucked into it. Growing up in the 90s David Spade was that dude, Just Shoot Me was on every week in the house 😂
I frickin love this bit, Spade pulled it off perfectly! I've never been a big David Spade fan but their is something about this bit, along with the Great Neil Diamond song that is just soo good, it's crazy!
Funny you call her old. The actress was 59 at the time and probably was around that in the part as well. People just dressed to look older then, and they would have used a stunt double anyway
@@davethompson8283 @DAVE THOMPSON No, that's another character actress - I think it's Marie Cheatham. She on the airplane with Adam Sandler in "The Wedding Singer," too - and she was a soap opera actress.
Neil Diamond has released 34 studio albums over a span of 50+ years. David Spade reminds us that, Diamond's music is marvelous and timeless. Regardless of your age, I encourage you to host a Diamond Karaoke night. Invite all of your friends to sing one of Neil's tunes...shiny open shirts, berets, scarves and tight black pants are optional. Provide some space for singers to move and watch the greatest party theme on the planet unfold. Neil's stage moves are so identifiable and yet...nothing is out of bounds. You can thank me later!
I am crazy about Neil Diamond and found this by movie clip by accident looking for even more Diamond.. I'm in my mid 50's and have to always always listen to him and watch videos any chance I get as he inspires me and brings out real emotions like no other!. OMG I have slept over at night at concert halls to be one of the first to get tickets and be close enough to watch him perform. No one like him or his music ever!
Neil Diamond karaoke night sounds like fabulous fun! Creative idea. (Barry Manilow karaoke might work too!) I can't sing a note, but invite me next time. Heehee
I watch this over & over again. , IT MAKES ME SMILE & I FEEL SO UPLIFTED !! TY SOOOOOOO MUCH DAVID SPADE & OF COURSE MR NEIL DIAMOND 🤪🤪😘😘😘😘😘😘❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹
Great movie , good cast , didn’t force anything . Had a late 90s feel .. such a good era and time. I wish it was bigger hit but I think it had a good following on tv
This is also my favorite David Spade scene. I laugh EVERY time. (It actually is very cool, though. We can all relate, with horror: We know what his character must be feeling when the song cuts out and there he is on stage. But he rises! And everyone rolls with it! Including us! WhooHoot! 🤗
No matter how many times I watch this, never fails to make me laugh out loud! Definitely one of the best, if not, THE BEST comedy scene EVER!!! LOVE DAVID SPADE
I can dislike this scene (Greatly). Could have been great but they trashed it completely for the sake of a quick cheep physical gag. (dropping her thru the table)
That was a good movie, Sophie Marceau is absolutely gorgeous. This scene was pretty funny...when watching I could almost picture Don Knotts in the David Spade role if it had been made back in the 60's.
One of our favorite childhood movies for some reason. Me, my little brother, and little sister taped it just to rewind the part when Spade threw the lady on the table and watch it countless times and cry laughing. Simpler times
S. Say's "This is one of my favorite moments of David Spade's career as a comic / great prefomer"!!!! He's an awesome actor in my opinion because just like Adam Sandler he put's real heart into what he does; it's so deliciously wrong it's right because they've discovered that's what makes it comedic, and awh inspiring to say even if u might be scared try, do your best to roll with it , give it u'r all, it never hurts to have a little faith to trust that God will get U through any situation no matter what comes U'r way, also to be creative, open minded, and if you think outside the box U could end up surprising even U'rself. To quickly recap have guts, stay open minded, think outside the box, have 💓 heart, faith, hope, and respect for others as well as U'RSELF and don't just dream and hope something will happen dream and put the hard work into it and never stop until you make it a reality and if you still fail find a New Dream and put the same hard work into it and until you find the right dream that fits U and that you can be content with!!!!😉
My brother LOVED this scene, everytime this came on,he would pull me to his room to watch it,I barely watch it,cause he would be so busy laughing, that would make me laugh!
What I find totally astounding here, is that absolutely nobody, least of all her husband, was the slightest bit upset that this man just threw an elder woman through a glass table! Only in the movies!
Whenever I hear this song of think of this scene. One of the best scenes ever. David Spade is legend. And now this has become one of my favorite songs.
An EXCELLENT movie. I love the line at the beginning. "So I said baby, when the phone's not ringing, that's me not calling." "REALLY? You SAID THAT?" "NO, but I SHOULDA!!!" He he he. :-)
Chris Tremps now I just really rock that dude shit from the show in crash test dummy mmm his spiritual moment to I mentioned shaking to shake me acdc to this show
@@nathandunlap6957 I've been really far out there on LSD and DMT but what was going on with your brain when you pieced that group of words together. I have tears coming out of my eyes. That run on sentence was better than the David Spade clip
I've known this song for awhile but after the Once upon a time in Hollywood trailer I knew it had been involved in another movie somehow. So glad to come back and find this classic scene.
This scene is epic. I also love the scene with John Lovitz. This movie came out a year or two after the Horse Whisperer and a few years before all the dog and cat expert shows. John was a dog whisperer, and it was hilarious.
