I think streans is doing a good job overall..hes making moves..he inherited a mess..but the moves hes making make sence..hes smart and i have full confidence in his abilities..it will take a while its his first year with limited budget..im fine with it
Not really. Its not important its more of a distraction unless youre into milking drama . But for that there are soap operas you dont need to look to sports for that.
He’ll be back within two weeks. He was sent down simply because they have a lot of off days coming up with the London Series, and they want him on a regular schedule. Plus, it allows them to carry an extra player in the meantime.
Pham, who was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks at the trade deadline, told The Athletic that he told Francisco Lindor that the Mets had the “least-hardest working group of position players" he had ever been around
Funny how Stears has tilted away from the questions while in his seat, as if he really didn't want to be there, or answer questions. I was a little perplexed as to why Christian Scott was being moved down , but it makes sense to me now. He'll certainly be back. Baty, I have confidence in him but I think he needed to be sent down some time ago. Let him work on some things.
@@ethancohen7_ I’ve met some Ivy Leaguers who are analytically smart and can pass a test but some are dumb as a rock when it comes to intuition, emotional intelligence, and being street savvy.
@@tvtechwonv27 Yeah like I get what you are saying on why he rubs you the wrong way. Majority of top front office people are just like this. Stearns was and will be a tremendous hire. He’s one of the most highly regarded executives around baseball.
This is not the Fan. Oh Mike and the Dog where have you gone. This is insane listening to this. All we need is Mendoza popping up as a puppet saying if we follow the process. we should win a World Series in the year 2378.
Mike and the Dog were both buffoons (and made their career talking on the phone to larger buffoons). These two guys are actually knowledgeable about the Mets system and actually ask good questions.
What we are seeing is not too goods. The Mets are not playing that good. Are they going to wake up yet? At the end of the season they're going to wake up. I won't waste a penny to buy tickets to see the Mets
Im not a fan of Stearns.....it has nothing to do with his baseball IQ....its because he has a smirk that comes off as arrogant and i TRULY believe he doesn't speak the truth.....he only speaks in what he believes are the words that work best for HIM. I don't believe he has been transparent regarding Alonso. I don't believe he's anywhere near as positive about Baty as he shows himself to be..... and i definitely don't believe he ever believed this was a possible playoff team despite saying such on many occasions. He seems to behave the fans have no idea what is going on with this team. Im not suggesting he isn't capable as a GM.....i just believe he is not giving his truth in interviews and press conferences. I've been watching this team since before he was born. I don't need to listen to a guy talk without complete sincerity and that's what i feel every time he opens his mouth.
@@brandonin_ny I realize that....but there was no doubt this wasn't a playoff team before they ever took the field and he suggested they believed they'd contend. That's not authentic. That's blinding a fan base that has reasonable intelligence as a whole. I also believe he has never anticipated resigning Alonso and I knew as soon as Senga went down to injury that he wouldn't be back anytime soon. Believe me..... they knew more than they were willing to tell the fan base. They didn't want to lose ticket sales or interest. I know it's part of the business. I just feel they should be more transparent with reality.
Win today? Just try and win today? Bro...no shit, thats what youre supposed to do...we arent winning series which means we arent trying to WIN TODAY EVERY DAY
