@@abigailbenitez63331:25 It's canon in the book that Crowley only has the apartment because of his job, the only things he personally owns are his car, his plants, and his phone.
And now it gets totally clear how the Crowley/Aziraphale dynamic works so well on screen. Michael and David go so harmonious together and totally have the bff vibes all time. 💖
Amazing relationships have love. Unfortunately, people now interpret that as always being sexual love, and that’s a shame. When I read about all the loneliness in society, the suicides, etc., I just would hope we all had more platonic soul mate relationships as a goal. I work with older adults who are often widowed. I find the happier are those who have built a circle of amazing friends. Just my opinion. Best regards.
@@graziemille2454 I do agree with everything you said in general! But Crowley and Aziraphale are very much in love. It's a lovestory (as confirmed by Neil Gaiman as well)
I've seen about 57 clips from this interview and never once did I realize that they are sitting next to ZOE SALDANA and NICOLE KIDMAN. we are all so so delulu
Tennant was so infatuated with Dr.Who he went and married Peter Davidsons daughter who played Tennants daughter in Doctor Who!! That's some serious Doctor Who dedication!!
A Doctor's Daughter was casted as another Doctor's Daughter in an episode called the Doctor's Daughter. The Doctor's Daughter then married to the Doctor and gave birth to another Doctor's Daughter.
MS…”My best buddy.”. DT..”best mates”. I love these BFF in GO, who are examples of what we all need more in this digital world…just wonderful soulmates.
Thank you for leaving the dialect project story in there. I'm always glad to hear about people who respect and want to honor the various ways of speaking in their countries.
And I'm TELLING YOU, David and Michael were just sitting there, being SO ready to talk about the million trinkets they stole. I'm certain that David's probably walked out with at least one trench coat and sand shoes ensemble, and probably kidnapped more than one pair of sunglasses, and if Michael didn't steal at least a bowtie I'll eat his fuzzy tophat. Those guys would have LOVED to get the wardrobe question.
This was so much fun! I have a recording of my grandmother from 1980, the year she died at age 79. She was raised in the US state of Iowa. I grew up in New Mexico, and she was a daily presence in my life until she died. Recently I listened to that recording, after nearly 40 years, and the mid-western accent often called the "Rusty Saw" was so obvious! It was an eye opener from my youth when it was just grandma's voice.
@@aliceramdom.s I believe this was a reply back to the comment of 4 different accents on the interviewer couch and just threaded wrong. Regardless, who does it hurt? 🤷♀️ This video, or the comments, triggered a heartwarming memory for this person and they are sharing it, let it go at that.
I found this video bc i wanted to watch these guys, but i actually really enjoy the dialects project part too, its super cool such a thing is being done :D Here in estonia our dialects research and recording has been a thing for a pretty long time, im glad england is doing it too bc there truly are so many fascinating accents throughout all of the UK and stuff... I should learn my home island dialect more...
When Michael Sheen said that dialects could be different between streets, it reminded me of a scene from the US series, _Homicide: Life on the Street._ The detectives are interviewing a suspect and, for some reason I can no longer remember, the conversation gets onto the topic of where in Baltimore one of the detectives was from. The suspect said that just from how someone says "Baltimore", he could tell within a 20 block radius where that person grew up within the city.
me: i am an adult. i am a grown person. i refuse to fangirl over two men my dad’s age. me after seeing 0:12 : B-F-Fs!! B-F-Fs!!! DAVID AND MI-CHAEL BEST FRIENDS FOREVER!!
UK shows are soooooo different than in the US. All the crosstalk!!! I do love how sometimes you can see one of the hosts is completely over their co-host. They almost roll their eyes. LOL
Love Good Omens, love these guys and everyone involved. Recommend highly. Also loved the report on the Dialect Project. What a wonderful time in history that technology can help preserve our heritage in such a way.
Terrible interviewers. They keep asking questions and then answering them for the guest. "Have you ever kept a wardrobe piece--in X, you had a nice wardrobe." "That's what inspired you, isn't it?"
Alex is the worst, how on she got a gig on TV is beyond me, suspect it was her teeth, she was a shoe-in for a former host, who was also extremely toothsome, and who pissed off the BBC by switching to the opposition. Just terrible.
Came to the comments for the same reason. Great actors all but the questions were completely random, disjointed and they kept interrupting and cutting people off for boring unrelated questions.
Hmm. Now I kinda want Nicole in the theoretical (fingers crossed) Season 3 in scenes with David. She can pull off that underlying-sense-of-chaos vibe, although she doesn't usually play that part.
@@aliceramdom.swhere has your question come from ? They talk about accents and dialects in the episode, so it's not a random comment like your response seems to suggest
I was so focused on M&D that I thought it was weird that the show had four hosts ;p Then like 5 minutes in, I was wait a second... that's Nicole Kidman!
And now we need the Zoe and Nicole reaction video to Good Omens and Staged. Also, dammit - was in Hawes just a couple of weeks ago (recognised it immediately), wish i'd known about the dialect project then. Will have to pop in next time i'm up that way.
@@blessedbutterflytarot3060 based on s2 (and with the strikes) that is the best timing we can hope for seems like the script-writting is already happening as of this week and i reckon it might take up to a year + another year and a bit for filming and post
Not a great interview. Actresses who have obviously never seen or heard of Good Omens, have they ever heard of Gaiman? Obviously never heard of the brilliant Staged series. Do they even know who David and Michael are?
Of course they do, all four are established successful stage, tv and film actors. The fact they may not of heard of a specific niche TV show or a certain author is neither here nor there, in fact Nicole has appeared in a movie authored by Graiman (How to Talk to Girls at Parties). Now run along and grow up, maybe watch the quoted film for some tips.
Being old is not a bad thing. It's funny because people often forget that the time goes by, that they age, that the world is constantly changing and is not revolving around them. It's a pretty common experience, and we all get the reality checks from time to time.
ANOTHER BBC "Class Act" in "Good Omens", lost to a subscription service? THIS HAS TO STOP! This EXCELLENT comedic drama was a breath of fresh air and had me riveted to the TV when it was broadcast, WITHOUT ADVERTS, on the BBC! When such programmes are created, developed and become part of the British TV landscape, there should be no such "yard sale" of these "intellectual properties"! The BBC has become a nursery for great programming that is birthed, raised and then SOLD OFF to the highest bidder, and then, .....to add insult to injury, ...the BBC then PROMOTES THE COMMERCIAL ENTERPRISES that paid for EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS to that prized possession! HOW are people who struggle to pay the BBC licence fee, supposed to keep up with this series? Amazon Prime is a subscription, as is Netflix, SKY, Disney+, and Paramount! .....ADD THEM UP! .....PER MONTH! £8.99 - Amazon Prime £10.99 - Netflix (Standard) £26.99 - Sky TV (inc Netflix) (Sky Movies +£11.99) £7.99 - Disney+ £6.99 - Paramount+ As of 14/07/2023, that adds up to £34.96 PER MONTH, without Sky TV, and Movies, OR £62.95 PER MONTH, with Sky TV and Movies! (that does NOT include any of Sky's PREMIUM Sports coverage! which will cost EXTRA!) This is ON TOP OF THE £159 per year UK TV License Fee! (because all services you subscribe to include access to BBC services!) That's an ANNUAL COST of £578.52 or £914.40 to access the TV and films PROMOTED ON THE BBC! - I'll let that little gem sink in for a while! Now ask yourselves this question! HOW are the poorest of us, ...single parents, pensioners, long term sick and disabled, the mentally ill, and the terminally unemployed, supposed to "JOIN IN" with these cultural events? How do you explain the INEVITABLE isolation the exclusion from these events causes? ....the ELITISM that has been created? (here's a really BIG CLUE! ...YOU CAN'T!) When the UK government started selling off the UK "airwaves" to satellite services, did they not realise the "bidding wars" that would come, that would DECIMATE the ability of our public broadcasting networks to compete? Virtually ALL of the major sports events are now EXCLUSIVELY on Sky Sports TV, and often hidden behind a "paywall"! A VERY LUCRATIVE business model, no doubt, but at what cost? The traditional Saturday afternoon football is now OUT OF REACH of the working class folks that used to sit around the TV because they could not afford the escalating turnstile ticket fees and "incidentals" inside the grounds! CHILDREN'S TV have all been separated from the main channels on TV and are now 24hr a day "babysitting channels" mainly lost to "streaming services" with the obligatory "paywalls"! Is it any surprise that the BBC is losing it's audiences to "streaming services" when it SELLS OFF it's prime products, and fails to hold onto the products that made it such a RESPECTED media Corporation? ...UK Premium sports events, and THE main promoter of Formula One and other sports! What ever happened to "Ski Sunday" on BBC2? Horse racing in the afternoons, boxing, wrestling, eventing, triathlons, ....the list goes on! The BBC is probably the greatest innovator in DRAMA, and has a long and illustrious history of providing the BEST production values in broadcasting! Their News service, WAS the most respected in the world, but lately, it has been exploited by programmers who want TABLOID MENTALITY and ENTERTAINMENT VALUES, where EDUCATION and INFORMATIVE PRESENTATIONS were required, ....to protect DEMOCRACY! Now, many question the integrity of the BBC for these very reasons! Many also question/RESENT the TV License Fee, for the very same issues listed above, but pay it because there is NOTHING ELSE! (they can afford!) Next to the NHS, I used to think the BBC was the most PROFOUNDLY IMPORTANT gift to the British people AND THE WORLD! ....Now? ....
Why would anyone subscribe to all the streaming services at once? Subscribe for a month or two, watch what you wanted, unsubscribe. Idk, I think this logic would be pretty obvious to people with little spare money. Good points about availability of good content and education, but that's a weird argument.
