But then he has to add “buddy movie” these are not the same thing. :/ He is far less comfortable with the love story aspect than Sheen and Gaiman. I am disappoint in David.
grumblefkitty I mean, not really uncomfortable but less vocal on it imo. He really does support it and you should see what he and Michael say once they’re in an interview together and that question pops up (the comic-con one is really telling of that) The ‘buddy movie’ comment is a bit weird though but it maybe him referring to a rom-com aspect of it or how his chemistry with Michael is really like that. but he does really agree it’s a love story and it’s better than any deflection of the question than what other actors do. Not trying to start a fight though. It’s all imo.
Never too late for this party :-) You have so much to enjoy for the first time, I am almost jealous. Broadchurch, (Viva) Blackpool, Jessica Jones and of course Doctor Who... Have fun ^^
This might show how old I am, but I prefer this kind of interviewer: let's his guest have the spotlight, seems genuinely interested in responses and doesn't talk non-stop. Thank you!
@@Snowshowslow there is a group of fundie Christians (didn't bother to remember the name) that petitioned Netflix to take down Good Omens because it makes satanism appear normal and other such bullshit. They even have more than 20.000 signatures, morons, all of them.
@@Snowshowslow Nemshee is correct but they missed a really important part. The group petitioned Netflix. Good Omens is made by Amazon. That says all you need to know about this group. :-)
If you want more of David and Michael working together, BBC has just released "Staged", a six-part comedy series with the two in lockdown. It's absolutely fantastic!
I think there's a large part of the population that are thinking "love story" in any way means sexual tension in this case. They're completely wrong. If you have never loved someone like these two love each other without considering them as a sexual partner, you may not know what love is. Aziraphale and Crowley aren't gay. They aren't straight. They're way above orientation and the sooner humanity can embrace that kind of love, the better.
Yes their relationship is platonic. However had they *been* gay, I would have shipped them big time. That's how good they were together and how touching their bond was.
Michael Sheen is a most flirty person, even in interviews, flirting with everyone! And David Tennant is like the older brother/boyfriend who just watches on in bemusement!
Since they are usually up for the same roles I wonder if Michael was ever in the running for Dr Who. I need this in my life, I would love to see what Michael would do with the role.
He played the Galifreyian eating planet out of space time written by Neil Gaiman. Episode is called The Doctor's Wife, I think. It's in the Matt Smith run.
I don't know if he was in the running for the doctor, but he is IN Doctor Who. He's the voice of House in The Doctor's Wife. An episode that just so happens to be written by Neil Gaiman!
Michael Sheen as the next doctor (after Jodie), and Neil Gaiman writing another episode (and this time not down-sized, like his Cybermen episode was) for the series.
@@dale3404 To which comment? I might've accidentally clicked on thumbs-down and then changed it to thumbs-up (the new RU-vid format makes it far too easy for me to click on thumbs-down when I meant to click on thumbs-up).
Every Englishman is a Brit, but not every Brit is an Englishman. Every Welshman is a Brit, but not every Brit is a Welshman. Every Scotsman is a Brit, but not every Brit is a Scotsman.
Wow. Just discovered this show. Black and white is so perfect for the sophistication of Sam Jones as interviewer. You know this girl had to subscribe...David Tennant and Fred Armisen my first views? Yes please.
He has had quite a track record of great chemistry with co-stars, including Crowley and Aziraphale, The Doctor and Rose, The Doctor and Donna, Alec Hardy and Ellie Miller, even the threesome in Blackpool. All among my favorite pairings of all time.
Sometimes I wonder if they get tired of being asked the same questions in interviews and stuff. I know it is publicity for themselves and the show, but as a person I think that he and the cast would get tired...idk, just a thought
Especially poor David who can't seem to do an interview without being asked, AT LENGTH, questions about Doctor Who. It's like his career ended with that role, even though he's done lots of great shows since.
Appreciate this @theoffcamerashow interview with David Tennant. I love that Good Omens is lauded and was brilliantly cast. Need Michael Sheen! :D Other questions: Where's Benedict Cumberbatch on this show?
This kind of duo is one of a kind and i think the chemistry was inevitable regardless of the end quality of the show. Thankfully, they all did Mr Pratchett proud :)
