Through this entire thing David is just like over in a fantasy world happily eating his peanut butter sausage sandwich. Well I've got to try it now as well as fish fingers and custard!
That first sandwich is definitely something an 11 year old, a pregnant lady, and dare I say even the Doctor would make and find delicious. Actually, now I wonder what it would have been like if Ten had a scene where he actually ate that peanutbutter sausage sandwich (a little IRL reference for Tennant himself) kind of like Eleven rejecting all the different household foods only to find the strange combination of fish and custard delicious.
I love David Tennant. I even loved him playing probably one of the most evil characters ever to grace the page of any work of fact or fiction. But this, I'm not sure I can look at him the same way ever again.
Timelords do have a slight preference to mix diary and meat, peanut butter and pork sausage, fish fingers and custard (I don't care what people say, fish custard is vile).
@@herecomedatboi986 It is on my bucket list to eat fish custard. If I hate it I will swallow it in the name of the doctor. Also this is 5 years ago so you probably don't care for me and my comment
I would totally be down for trying that sandwich, I bet it's pretty good. My dad always liked peanut butter and bacon sandwiches, and I'd imagine it's much like that. David just watching the insanity and quietly eating his sandwich is adorable, though. I remember making creative sandwich combinations at that age. (Finishing off camping leftovers made for some legends, let me tell you.) One that was actually quite good was adding raisins in the middle of a cheese sandwich (also had vegetarian lunch meat in it, which actually made for a nice combo, but I don't think substituting real lunch meat would be at all good, lol).
richie's reaction to The Sandwich is absolutely hilarious. it's like, he puts it in his mouth and instantly regresses into childhood. he squawks and makes faces and in the end spits the whole thing out. there you go, ladies, form an orderly line!
Tried Fish Custard... now I've got to try this... DT Sausage! Gonna taste.. odd, but I don't care. Fish Custard was okay, so I've gotta give this a try too. Who's with me?
David Tennants sandwich reminds me of a calorie bomb grill cheese I made one day. Between two pieces of bread there was mozzerella cheese, a piece of ham, 2 pieces of turkey, and 1 or 2 tablespoons of peanut butter.
Poor David, I have heard of Mattersons U sausage, it didn't look to bad! If it didn't have the meat, I would have tried it my self and ate the whole thing and say it was delicious no matter what! (:
Poor David. XD I guess if I were to offer anything, I'd offer my dad's DELICIOUS recipe for a breakfast: hot dog rolls with honey and peanut butter on them. My own original recipe would be a provolone cheese and mayonaise between two rolls. Mm, cheese, kinda makes me want to make it again. XD
there IS a way to make this a lot more palletable if you want to give it a try. Simply cook the sausages in a frying pan and as they are cooking, roughly when they're starting to brown, coat them with crunchy peanut butter and fry them for a bit longer adding more peanut butter to cover the surface. It is gooey, it is messy, BUT it works. You're looking for just enough to create a sortof coating on them. For the bread, use thick sliced bread, white or brown if you want to add a bit more texture, and toast it. Use a slightly salted butter instead, not too much, just enough to give a golden sheen to the surface. Take your sausages, either put them onto the toast whole OR slice them up, your choice, add another slice of toast on top and you're done.
Ok now, oddly enough, I want to try a peanut butter & sausage sandwich! It could just be that I am hungry, lol, but most things paired with bread & peanut butter are quite good! I will definitely have a go at this.
We have the same kind of sausages in the Netherlands, I just tried this snack and it's actually pretty good. I think the hosts didn't like it because they're not used to these kind of sausages (which really don't taste like regular sausages). Anyway well done David.
+Michelle Jacobs Nee, Gelderse gekookte worst ;) Rookworst klinkt wel interessant om ook eens te proberen trouwens, ook al lijkt de smaak van rookworst me te sterk om te combineren.
I would try David's sandwich if I wasn't allergic to peanuts. So maybe good subs would be almond butter and turkey sausage. Here in the United States, we can get sausage in the u-shape everywhere. I didn't know that there was any other way until 8th grade when I went to a sausage factory. I still get the u-shape, cut them into disks, and put them on sandwiches, over rice or pasta, or with some mashed potatoes.
my snack genius: pbj sandwich done up like sushi and eaten with chopsticks. sometimes i do it with honey, nutella, or marshmallow fluff. the most delicious and fun thing ever to eat.
I am amazed. I once did the same basic thing. I used white bread, peanut butter, grape jelly, and a slice of bologna. I am the only one who has ever liked it and eaten it. :) It must be a defensive reaction to being hungry and young, so you eat and enjoy forever.
That can't be as bad as ketchup , Mac and cheese and corn mixed together which was extremly nasty ( a friend of mine at school once dared me to try it )
I don't normally eat sausage, but I'm going to try this! Just have to see if I can figure out an equivalent sausage from around here, especially not being familiar with any kind.
Whovian10 DT Okay so I tried it. I wasn't as disgusted as Richie, but I'm not quite loving it. I only made a half sandwich and I've eaten about half of that. I might finish it, but I don't know that I'll make it again. But hey, it may grow on me in the next few bites!
A strangely weird but absolutely delicious favorite is to take some spreadable liver sausage, spread a bit of mayonnaise on that, and add some sliced cornichons on top.
Sounds pretty good to me... I personally am particularly fond of peanut butter on soft rye bread with heated (so the pb gets melty) Brown 'n Serve sausages. Original is good, Bacon or Maple is also good. Before they stopped making them, Oscar Meyer Smokie Links went well in the sandwich. The idea arose from my also-12 year old mind when I was craving a peanut butter & bacon sandwich (always on white toast) and we had no bacon in the house. David -- we must have been separated at birth....
My favorite sammich is Oscar Madison's favorite: sardines and peanut butter on cinnamon raisin bread toast. Delicious and proteinacious. Great for breakfast.
i tried it, the taste is actually so bizarre, that your brain doesn't really process it well, it sort of tastes like chocolate.. but in a very weird way :3
I'm really thinking about making that sandwich, then if I ever meet him, I can say it was either absolutely disgusting, or that he is a genious and should be put in history books for this invention.
Those Hula Hoops look like the old General Mills Whistles ( came out about when Bugles & Diggers did) Has anyone ever tries thinly sliced dill pickles on a peanut butter sandwich?
snd of course! hes scottish, znd scotlands main national dish is haggis, which is basically ground up sheep and cow organs all mixed together, so km not really surprised he liked his sandwich, which is a little strange. XD
I really wanna try this sandwich, but ca anyone tell me what kind of sausage this is, I'm from Germany and I don't think we have that here so I have to try, finding something similar
Hmmm... Reminds me of something my mum might make, lol! :) I can't help but think what bad breath the consumer would be left with. I know, I know, weird thought.
Yeah, that sausage is good. We eat it all the time. Fry it up in a pan here in America. But I really don't think I could pair it with that... just maybe some bread, but not the peanut butter. blegh.
