So i just had this playing on my speakers not looking at the screen and after a few min. im like, Damn! This is some wild shit who is this?! Then i looked at the screen to behold this ABSOLUTE WILD MAN ON BEAST MODE!!!
It’s like the old days a lot Dj’s would have something normal 1/3 or 1/2 a pill but I once saw Adam Bayer triple drop at the orbit. Different eras though no synch bottoms & track selection plus set order made a massive difference. That’s not to say I did no see brilliant technical Dj who had both. Andrew weatherall after 1991, The surgeon, Mr C, I-F, Eddie Richard’s could mix from 87, same as a lot of the Hip hop Dj’s getting into Acid house.
Agree, to mix such different genres and keep the energy level high is not easy. This is mixing music he loves. Pure and in your face! Straightforward! No strings attached.
David you genius, there is no way I can express my never ending appreciation for your magical way of spreading love through vibrations, please keep on preaching the spirit of love like you do! The world needs this! ❤️😘 Namasté 🙏
It's hard not to love this man. We talked a lot when I was a moderator at the CBS (Cybernetic-Broadcasting-System) forum and I remember him supplying brutal mixes every week. A true legend in this genre - mind you.

These tracks right here omg. I don't know which is better the selection or mixing. This set is deeper than mariana trench. You will be gradually gonna be crushed by its pressure. He is killing the game with passion, cold blood, style and madness in eyes and last not least he is as funny & all over the place as cage full of rabbits. This is my favourite mix of electronic techno disco music ever

I love coming back to this set from time to time and watching how excited the boiler room promoter guy gets at 48:04. This is the kind of energy I need more of in my life.
@@ga2399 if you consider that he is very drugged, the transitions are on point, there are not many mistakes. But of you consider the dj set, i agreement with you, some transitions are very fast and grotesque
This guy reminds me the good old 80's! I had a friend who spent a few years in London and when he returned to Portugal he brought all the vinyl he managed to buy. They were the best parties I've ever had. He had the same style as Vunk. Billy Idol Style! Saudades!!!!!!
This guy is the best!!!!!!! got a fan, i never saw he playing, and he is so good energy, made everybody dance, so amazing! He is a good soul, super presence! For sure i wish to be there to dance this beutiful moment, with all parts, like that made so perfect! thank you David Vunk!! Love from Brazil!
Mr. Vunk, you're highly passionate. This is something missing nowadays. You've all the rights to be one of the best djs around. Hope I'll catch you soon around, for sure I'll.
This is what a dj is real and very good to play hes soul and body can tell that This is real and it feels like he Play straight from hes whole body. Wery good set i hope to see more of this magic. Cheers.
Great set.... Love the Vunk. Always have. Electro has never died. I-F is the master. Ive always found an hour of this at the right time is absolute killer..... 2 Hrs is hard. Any more doesn't work. At the right time an hr of real electro always works.... Brings so much energy.
@@jarekszymanski1989 I was there in 2018 and phones were allowed. However, everyone was enjoying the moment so well nobody even bothered looking on their phones ;)
Jeez i just love watching this guy..nobody is enjoying more than the dj himself..lmao ..from pelvic thrusts, grinding his teeth, tripped out wicked smile😂awesome set too!!!!!!!!!
I saw David lay last year at the Amsterdam DE. Amazing DJ. Rocked the club. He picks deadly tracks that are hard to mix but puts them together as they will rock the set. To many people used to planned synced mixes. This is how DJing really should be, top tunes all the way, keeping you guessing. 🎉❤
He smokes weed every day. From his interview this year: ‘Nee man, echt niet chill.
I started with a small sample and by the 4th or 5th listen I'm diggin' the whole set. New respect for early 80s late 70s because of David Vunk and like you mention, once he hits that zone only the MC can stop the Kill Train.
@@matiasss550 Actually, the warm-up is the first DJ in a line-up that's tasked to get the groove and the people going for the main act. David Vunk clearly main act, not warm up. Also warm-up is the hardest spot to play because you can't just throw bangers at the crowd and need to gradually get them dancing and stop talking and looking and instagram :)

Aaron Chambers I am trying to find a reasonable way to justify people disliking this wonderful performance, didn’t found it so far, the only reasons I found were: A: a total lack of understanding how it should be done, B: jealousy, C: smoked that much crack, which resulted in not seeing the difference between a thumb up and down. There is no question about it, David fucking Vunk killed it, and is a living legend! ❤️🙏
