Honestly, in such a short sequence of the initial episode, Trigger did an amazing fucking job at conveying a significant amount of story, and story TO COME, character growth TO COME, all from that little walk sequence. It's amazing.
This is unironically how I spend most of my time playing Cyberpunk. Just walking around the city, taking in the sights, and seeing whatever crazy stuff happens, whether a bug or an intended event.
@@dreadnaught1445 yeah me too, kinda ruined Rebecca scene for me. Damn, I really hate people who spoiled sht out of nowhere, think they'll look smart or something. But, it still get me depressed and emotional for a few days. It just that good. I wish I've watch this show earlier
@@zikriflanery7030 Yeah from the entire ending the Rebecca scene was the only one that i didn't feel anything, it just happened. Because that scene was made to go without knowing anything, otherwise it doesn't have any effect. But the other scenes of that episode hit me like a truck tbh, just kinda sad that i don't feel like other fans about Rebecca.
Bruh I saw you saying the exact same thing in another video. I guess you've been watching every single song and clip of it to fill the void just like me lmao
This really shows just how much of a cesspool Night City is. No wonder it's considered the worst place to live in the NUSA. Yet it's the one place where big dreamers go to become legends.
@@giahuynguyenkim6389 No. Really. In the Cyberpunk lore, California was split in two. So you have North and South Cali, with Night City being part of South Cali.
Such a grand scene. This was what sold me both the anime and David as a protagonist. I got so many vibes from the game in this one scene. It shows you the kind of city he's living in. It builds his character without saying a word. His unbreakable stride. His absolute swag walking through a city of complete filth. The small smile he has upon seeing the remains of a crime scene. Swag is the only way to describe him. He wasn't even a badass at this point, yet he still seemed to approach his life with the attitude of one.
Best part is these are all in the games OST. Trigger just picked the best bangers and knew when to use them appropriately. Made me appreciate the misic even more.
Honestly, the reused shots really added to the idea that all the bad stuff that happens in Night City is just routine at this point. Nothing ever changes because its inconvenient for the Corpos for things to get better. And the result is a city where someone like Adam Smasher is hailed as a "legend" , while innocent people like David get swept up in a situation they didn't ask for. Hell, even the game goes into this by showing us Johnny's memories and showing how the *tech* is the only thing that's different.
@@Schale.kivotos Especially Maines breakdown. Even the animation style and music. Gave me big French Psycho with a childs man that can levitate and is invulnerable to everything but terrified of cats vibes.
not really school but college, used to go to college in cork city centre and there was always a fair share of what david saw around the route I took, usually harmless, but it was a situation where you put your ear phones in and keep walking
I love everything about this scene! The music, the animation, the way they show this absolute moraless city and how david walks through it like nothing
It's funny how when I was going to school in my teens it was so similar with this. The weird people in the street, the trash and then when you got in the city there is less thrash but more violence.
Sometimes i try to just enjoy the City, but i cant help myself aiming my gun on People to shoot the ones drawing a Gun on me. MaxTac aint showing up so it cant be wrong.
i said the ending compare the game. the game endings is more depressing because u control v. and u tried your best in everyway to save rouge and johnny even yourself
@@SafetyKitten Hmm I wonder about that he tried to live Mains dream and he didn’t get to go the moon either and he went cyberpycho before accomplishing his goals.
