This is performance and rehearsal footage - I do not have a date for these films - probably late 1970s early 1980s? Can anyone confirm?
The rehearsal footage is conducted by Michael Somes. Wendy Ellis was his third wife - the dancer having been previously married to Deirdre Annette Dixon and Dame Antoinette Sibley.

This is fascinating. I’m used to seeing very little change in choreography throughout the years, but the staging is the same as the Royal Ballet do it now. That’s rare for staging to last several decades.

yes, the Royal tended to very much value tradition. and used Sergeyev's notebooks to mount the classics

Thank you so much for posting this. Do you know if there is any footage, rehearsal or performance of Ann Jenner in the role of Lise? She is regarded as one of the best and was chosen to partner Baryshnikov when he guested with the Royal Ballet, but I have only seen still photos.

sadly i know of no film of her in 'La Fille mal gardée' - yes, there are plenty of photos of her in the ballet
