•Concludes by expounding upon the centrality & absolute necessity for the follower of Christ to hear His voice bc you can't even repent of your sin w/ out the voice the of the Holy Ghost to not only make you aware of that sin but to also instruct you concerning g how to keep you from falling back into it!1Cor10:13 *And that will ONLY happen by hearing His voice This! This is why cessationism is absolute nonsense and must be completely and totally rejected bc it's stems from a "wicked heart of unbelief" even if the person in part has good intentions. *To say the HS quit speaking is nonsense bc everything concerning your life is not written in the Bible such as the HS's many manifold convictions!! If you're addicted to crank or heroine you won't find a Bible verse say "quit that crank &or heroine"; that will ONLY come by way of the HS speaking into one's life. If the HS doesn't still speak then He cannot then fulfill Jn14:28,16:13 so in embracing cessionism you are thereby denying those txt to be true bc you cannot be taught all things and shown things to come w/out hearing His voice.

Years I do mean years ago I listened to a you tube David Wilkerson video. Omg I yearned for God so bad my soul I needed so much healing and at that time I felt so doomed due to the addiction I had which was burdensome. My fear was that God was going to come at any time and I wanted to be free from addiction and free from the habits I had to support my addiction. My heart cried out to Jesus for months really. To be able to put it down and to be able to not feel like I would need to go back due to the pain I carried some was not even mine to carry and others I knew I needed to give to God the healer. I'm so grateful that now I can thank God that I no longer need the things I us to use it took a lot and a heck of alot more of walking away not alone but with Jesus by my side.

@Lisa Kirkham what is the chapter and verses to justify your statement? It sounds a lot like a denominational mantra, but it is nowhere in Scriptures. In fact Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice.” Be careful you are not following the doctrines of men!

@Lisa Kirkham You are doing a very good job of eisegesis of the scripture. Your failure to take what was stated in context and ignoring Scriptures, which go against the grain is a tell tale sign your answers come from man made doctrines and are not a Biblical reality. 1. I never stated in any way shape or form that the Holy Spirit when speaking to the heart of man would ever add to the Scriptures. 2. Nor was it ever inferred the Holy Spirit of God would take away from the Scriptures. (Just because charlatans and heretics do so does not mean I so stated and or even inferred. From a Biblical perspective I not only find such inference offensive personally, it also is contrary to the unity in the body of Christ and has far reaching ramifications to the church in general than what you May realize). Further and to the point, if one were to follow your eisegesis of Scriptures one would indeed have to “take away” from Scriptures. Something you yourself advocated was not to be done. Four of God does not speak to his people today, if he does not affirm his word to the hearts and minds of men, if he does not get visions and dreams to liters to follow today, then we will have to throw out certain scriptures. Specifically: John 10:27; 1 John 4:1; Acts 2:17; Heb 13:8. No one is saying the Holy Spirit will add to God’s Word. Nor will He take away from the word as you inferred. Scripture interprets Scripture, in context, in the entirety of the Scriptures. The Word of God is not something we should ever approach without awe. God is much bigger than you infer. Please, in the future, do not put words into the statements of others, search the Scriptures independently of man’s doctrines and consider a balanced exegesis in context of all Scripture.

@Lisa Kirkham Read the Scriptures I quoted. Meditate on them. As I said very clearly, what you are I suggested in the scripture and not taking it into its proper context. You are repeating the mantra of a doctrine of cessation that is created by man. Jesus said very clear, my sheep hear My voice; I know them and they follow me. John 10:27 NASB. 1 John 4:1a “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see where they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world.…” Why in the world with the Holy Spirit tell us through John that we will hear His voice and that we are to test the spirit to see whether it is if God. Why would the inspiration of the Holy Spirit have John warn us to test the spirit and determine if it is from God if at least some of the time we were going to be able to hear the living God? I’m not advocating that it happens all the time. I am advocating that if you don’t listen you’ll never hear. If you put God in a box that the Scriptures do not you are not bound for hell either. You’re just really missing out. Another example is in John 8:47 where Jesus said “Whoever belongs to God hears the words of God. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.” If I were to follow your philosophy (doctrine of man) I would have to throw all of these and more Scriptures out. It would also mean that the word of God was fallible. The majority of the time God speaks to His people is through his word. And anything that you hear in your heart you will be able to discern whether it is from the Lord or not only if you know his word. The Lord will not add to the Scriptures nor will He take away from them. Sometimes He stirs our soul after having meditated in His Word, which will not come back to Him void, by giving us clarity of a text, understanding how it applies today or conviction. How else will the promise that the Holy Spirit would teach us all things, would be our counselor, would convict the world of sin be fulfilled? How do you know if the guilt paining your being is from conviction of God’s Spirit or condemnation of the enemy. If you know His voice, if you can test the Spirit. Yes, and you can test it against the Word. Other times, when you spend time in prayer and the Lord places a burden to pray for someone, sometimes someone you have never met, yet when you pray with thanksgiving, you have that inner peace promised in Scripture? (Philippians 4:6,7). While I appreciate and love all my brothers and sisters who deny this truth, I think it is very sad that they miss out on much of the greatness of who God is.

After receiving the Holy Spirit I started hearing Him. He never pampered me. He corrected me many times, encouraged me, when I was down, told me He loved me when I was weeping over being told I did not have the Spirit if I did not………. He said softly,” I love you”. When I continued to cry, He said it 2 X again , the 3 rd time with the emphasis on the “I “. He has yelled at me when I was being unkind, led me, answered my prayers. One day I was feeling totally in a spin. I sat down and said,” Father, everything in my mind is spinning out of control.” He said,” When all around your soul gives way, I then am all your hope and stay.” And immediately the mental spin stopped. I sang that sing all day. One morning ,after being up too late the night before, when 5 O’clock rolled around, I said, “ Lord, I am too tired to get up and pray. I heard ,,” There’s a blessing in prayer, in believing prayer., when the Savior’s name to the throne we bear. And a Father’s live will receive us there…..” and He stopped. I rolled out of bed and into my knees. The Holy Spirit gives us ears to hear and is now the resident Boss, Comforter, Teacher, Encourager, and Disciplinarian. I cannot live the Christian life without Him and hearing His voice. He has never been vague, mushy, joking, harsh or obscure. I love Him so much for being my Father and my God. What He says, He gives me the desire to obey immediately.🙏🏻♥️✝️

@Lisa Kirkham Thanks for your comment Lisa your so right we have to test every spirit.Very few are fortunate enough to hear The LORDS voice litrally they say its like a crescendo of loud thunder but as Disiples of The MOST HIGH we hear HIS voice.Its in THE WORD or through other Disiples even research that we are lead to.Its more like a feeling or conviction and if we tune into this and learn to listen to thst feeling our lifes drastically change for the better.I read THE WORD every day and im in Prayer without ceasing and meditation on THE WORD “And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.” “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:” - John 10:27 (KJV) 💜

I was listening to a Word of faith preacher just a minute ago and I just got tired of being lulled to sleep in the prosperity message. Then I open this message and God has made it clear to me that the crossless prosperity message is not His voice in this time. The ichtching ears of people who wants to hear those type of things will perish. I need the truth of Jesus Christ. I need to hear Christ and Him crucified! I need not be seduced by the voice of the Anti Christ. You're either for Christ or the Anti Christ.

Stay in the Word and that will lead you as it tells us everything we need. I call it Gods love letter to His saints. There are very few now days that preach the whole bible and its truths. Check out Pastor Benjamin Fairbanks or Pastor Dean Odle. I enjoy their messages of truth. Blessings from Canada

The prosperity hustlers will not preach against sin or warn professing Christians of hell; it's just fluffy phoney ear tickling. Carnal men tickle the ears-the Holy Ghost tickles the conscience. We MUST not throw out the gifts bc of sideshow clowns but @ the same time churches like Bethel pushing the signs & wonders w/ a heavy emphasis of verses like matt7:21-23 error greatly as well-Godspeed

This is such a great word! No one would want a man or women of God to learn this lesson, but I had to learn it. When God said no the first time and then much time past, I allowed someone to come back into my life. I learned God says NO once he does not say YES later. It hurt me, I thought I would never get over the hurt that I hurt God. I have a true fear and respect not to disobey and have idols or anything above God.

I used to listen to David preaching 10-12 years ago and than one day I ended up in teen challenge as a 36 year old adult. 7 years clean now but wow they screwed up that program. Day one they were speaking in tongues and embracing all kinds of false doctrine. I left after 3 days and went straight to Jesus for healing...he cured me and I'm on fire for him.

Secret sinning is the saddest but easiest to fall for...and guilt makes us hide more and more..thank you for this sermon...i an guilty LORD PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR MY SINS! I am guilty of watching porn.. I allowed Satan's minions to do exactly what Pastor David said..sneaking up when I wasn't paying attention and I did not go to prayer...I am SO SORRY Father....i can tell how much I have hurt my Father...I ask you for forgiveness Father...just as Pastor David said I am not as happy as I was a month ago when I first slipped and it became worse and I prayed but I would let my guard down for one single moment...savings several hours later I would realize how unhappy it was making me..and I would stop but the next day or night..He would slip in a moment of weakness.. I am declaring I love Jesus Christ and I am asking for forgiveness and to reaffirm my faith and my strength in His Holy Love for Me...thank you to anybody who reads this and understands and wishes to pray for me. I love my brothers and sisters on Christ wherever you are.. When I remove this from my life, I will pray for anybody that asks....

I have prayed that Jesus set you free from this addiction. He is Faithful.... Continue to call out to Him. When you feel weak, Praise His name, put on worship music and Praise Him! Rebuke the spirit of pornography addiction in Jesus name and cast it out in Jesus name. Plead His precious Blood over your mind and ask Him to set you free, even if this means a dozen times a day and get in His love letter to you, the bible.Get the Word in you and get strong in the truth. He has come to set the captives free!

"His voice is heard only when your heart is fully surrendered to truth" •Jn18:37 •Concludes by expounding upon the centrality & absolute necessity for the follower of Christ to hear His voice bc you can't even repent of your sin w/ out the voice the of the Holy Ghost to not only make you aware of that sin but to also instruct you concerning g how to keep you from falling back into it!1Cor10:13 *And that will ONLY happen by hearing His voice This! This is why cessationism is absolute nonsense and must be completely and totally rejected bc it's stems from a "wicked heart of unbelief" even if the person in part has good intentions. *To say the HS quit speaking is nonsense bc everything concerning your life is not written in the Bible such as the HS's many manifold convictions!! If you're addicted to crank or heroine you won't find a Bible verse say "quit that crank &or heroine"; that will ONLY come by way of the HS speaking into one's life. If the HS doesn't still speak then He cannot then fulfill Jn14:28,16:13 so in embracing cessionism you are thereby denying those txt to be true bc you cannot be taught all things and shown things to come w/out hearing His voice.

Well said and thank you for taking time to write this!!! I have actually noted your very words in my verse notes re: john 16:13 and the wicked belief of cessesionism. I would like to get this in my spirit to share with others when the HS directs. Cessationism seems more rooted and indoctrinated in baptist,and southern baptist belief than what many realize, even though when you say the word " cessonism" many do not know what that means, yet are following the decietful doctrine as if in a slumber and spiritual sleep. ( there may be some other denominations besides baptist as well, but this is purely from personal experience of my own.) This demonic belief and other long held doctrines and traditions of "man" can be very " understated" in some churches today which is perhaps even more deadly as the truth and power is denied fully but no one talks about it directly. The undercurrent and lack of acknowledging that God speaks, heals, and that all of the gifts are FOR today, is dangerous and deadly. If they believe what Jesus said about spiritual gifts- why, then are they seeing no operation or encouragement to Seek them? Believers must come out from the so called church that denies the power and therefore, the very essence of Jesus death and resurrection. God bless you sir, you have blessed me with your message.

It's actually just very convenient to take notes quickly in YT; that way I can circle back later and your comment actually made me re-review this subject. If we could add something else in connection w/ what's been said here: to your point on baptists and ppl like church of christ, who I have a very very deep level of respect for, these movements are very strong in teaching the whole word of God-acts 20:27-as far as scripture like heb6:1,2 while the pentecostals/charismatics of today really won't touch these or scripture like heb10:26 or 2pt2:19-22 while church of christ, fundamental baptists, and conservative anabaptists will. I know of churches like Bethel that will signs and wonders but won't warn strongly about matt7:21-23 & that is equally nonsensical as cessationism in my personal view; not warning the followers of Christ is dangerous. We must have a proper balance & leaders like wilkerson really don't seem to exist today @ all so it's up to us-the remnant. I will take more time to re-review what you said here. If you find yourself in chains after you repented earlier and somehow backwards you find yourself Sinning as ask Jesus to forgive you , be in prayer give it to God to everything your double minded and ask God to correct your ways and help you to over come. In the mean while you know you are in the wrong is because you are being called to keep trying, to change your ways but be careful never get used to sinning or think God will do all the work This is a fight! Study God and his ways Be on your guard it is easy to just sitting down and think grace will cover it, Grace does cover our sin but only if you want to grow in christ and put your heart and mind and soul in trying to change and not to stay the same. My brother is confusing the WILLFUL sin of our brother David of the old testament, with hearing God's voice from within in, that still small voice. None the less, even with this, the process of our being trained up in the Holy Spirit through God's word and the chastening of the Lord is what assures us of hearing his voice, but it does not mean that we can not be disobedient to that voice.

One moment, consider, how did Christ dress during His ministry? How were the crowds dressed? I'll bet the crowds were attracted be every emotion possible, everybody wanted something slightly different. Some of his statements don't agree with my experience, I don't think we can both be right, or am I just a unique, weird specimen?🙃 Enthusiasm, one of my favourite words because of it's origin. I love brother David, but how can both be true when he began this sermon he told us that the Lord's sheep HEAR his VOICE and NO OTHER shall they follow. Now with David he is saying that heard the voice of God through the prophet, but ignored it and went ahead and counted the men of Israel. Using a old testament subject of whom had not yet entered into the NEW COVENANT with God, is to me to suggest that the same conditions of hearing God's voice existed then as it does now. I don't believe that is true for now we need not that God speak through a prophet but that he dwells within us and is able to speak directly into out hearts via his Holy Spirit.
