Best sermon on the proper prayer mindset and love to GOD that I have ever heard. David Wilkerson is totally filled with the Spirit of GOD. HE is the bridegroom and we are HIS bride, loving words, sweet words, caring words, thanksgiving words, praising words and obedient words should always be in our tongues. Thanks for this eye opening and ear opening GREAT sermon.

I'd like to share what Jesus has showed me in how to be with Him, how to think about Him and feel because it goes perfect with this message. One day as I began praying on my lunch break I began with saying all the normal things and He spoke over me and said "Don't be feign". The problem was I didn't know what the word Feign meant and had to look it up. The word meant pretentious, fake, insincere... Got it. Understood a lot from that. Another time in the evening when I began to pray He stopped me again and brought to my mind and spoke along the lines of asking me to and realize the love, the heart, I have for my kids and how they are with me and how they talk to me. What He showed me and brought for me to see is, for an example, how they ask me about dinner, such as what's for dinner or when will it be ready or even just saying "I'm hungry Dad...!" and that's all they have to say. That's all they say because they KNOW I love them and they KNOW I'm going to see they have something to eat and they have no doubts about it, that includes when things aren't perfect with them they still know I love them. Now the rest of this is great, after all those things came to mind He spoke to my heart, my spirit, that the heart I have toward my children is the same as His heart toward me, all of us actually, that the heart I have for them came from Him. (Wow! Got it!) Its a relationship, a real relationship we are to have with Him. Heart to heart. Things we feel aren't something outside of how He created us, meaning, He feels like we do because He made us to -know- Him, even His heart. Amazing isn't it? Amazing is the relationship He wants with us even knowing all our faults and imperfections and falling short. He wants to forgive us, He wants to supply every little thing we have need of, on and on, whatever you can think of along those lines is what He wants. Along with that was understanding how I can hurt Him if I don't know how much he loves me and wants to do for me everything I have any need of. As well ever going to anyone else besides Him. He showed me how it is when any of my children come in and say "So and so's dad does it this way..."or whatever along those lines. Sometimes that is fine and good but there's those rough days of puberty when they're going a little too far challenging me. If anyone has had kids then you know what I'm saying. The point to that is that God is jealous for us and over us and He doesn't share us with anyone to take care of or provide for. Nope, if He wants me to have a new truck then He'll see to it and we offend Him if we don't know how He is about us, that He loves us no matter what, that He wants to be the one doing for us- and He will. So we need to get how He doesn't need to be reminded of what He said, what He promised, or begged to. My kids don't need to say "Dad, you promised you'll always feed me and take care of my needs and that I can call you for anything at anytime." If they were that way then something is wrong, wrong with them or wrong with me. Sometimes all they have to do is look at me and say "Dad?" and not anything specific because they already know that I know what they're asking or needing. That's a real relationship and a real relationship is what God wants with all of us. God - Loves - Us! He knows what we need before we even ask and He's told us and shown us plenty that He does. He is our Father. The problem is us getting it through our heads and in our hearts. And if anyone thinks they're not worthy? Well, you're not, nobody is, that's what makes God worthy of all our love and affections! All of them, every second of every day! When my kids have done wrong all they have to do is look at me and say, sincerely, "I'm sorry." That's all, it's forgiven and forgotten. After 7 kids and them staying out too late or wrecking the car or anything else, it doesn't matter, all they have to do is know I love them and act on it and mean it when they apologize or whatever is appropriate at the time. That's how they can love me and that is knowing how I love them and talking to me accordingly.

I was told growing up that prayer is talking to God. So i talk to Him like he is in the room with me. And i talk to him all day.

I would like to share, first off, Im no David Wilkerson....by a LONG way, Im not trying to take away anything hes said. I have learned so much from his openness & honestly with his walk...I would just like to add, in times when I was overwhelmingly distraught, on my face wailing before the Lord, my tongue running a mile a minute, I was incapable of being silent before the Lord....God has spoken to me over my own voice ! In ALL my anguish and 100 MPH rambling, God spoke, and... hearing his voice... it immediately calmed me. I just wanted to share than in case there is someone thats struggling to sit still to hear His voice. Hannah was rambling also, she was not sitting quietly.

I love the Lord God above all else...❤ He is who I turn to, I can talk to Him. My worry or concern is does the Lord Jesus Christ...become less to me? I believe when I talk to the Father that His Son hears as well...Jesus said "I and the Father are one" I am Him and He is me. I pray to the Father thru the Holy Spirit, it's never this big elaborate thing, I can only just talk to Him. I have ABSOLUTE TOTAL TRUST IN THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. I know Dave W loved God. A man of integrity. Dont forget Jesus said you have not because you ask not. So asking for your needs are important. There are Christians of many maturity levels. I will still ask for healing of my body and “a better apartment” but I will also think of God’s feelings and His desire and even His need of fellowship with me. Say the word aloud “ intimacy.” “ In-to-me-you-see.” He often “searches” our hearts. “Searches” -think about that. Perhaps prayer makes it a lot easier to Him to do that. Delight- preferring Him above all else.

I would correct on one thing...God needs nothing. If he did, he wouldn't be God. It's better to say God takes delight in fellowship with you. I have no personal criticism of pastor Wilkinson's message...I can't...because I often make so many mistakes. I am always thankful to hear his messages because I know he loves and serves Jesus Christ.

The creator is a spirit and we must worship him in spirit and truth.

I know it was an example & not the main lesson, but the whole intimacy in marriage is a difficult duty thing is a real issue for me, if you guy could pray for me that way. I love my husband to pieces, and try to be there for him, but end up praying that it could be over already. I have had much trauma thru my life from the age of 4. Lord, help me with the intimacy issues😔
