About David Wilkerson
David Wilkerson was the Founding Pastor of Times Square Church in New York City. He was called to New York in 1958 to minister to gang members and drug addicts, as told in the best-selling book, The Cross and the Switchblade.
In 1987, David Wilkerson returned to "the crossroads of the world" to establish Times Square Church. As a pastor of the church, he faithfully led this congregation, delivering powerful biblical messages that encourage righteous living and complete reliance on God.
David Wilkerson had a strong burden to encourage and strengthen pastors throughout the world. From 1999 to 2008, he traveled around the globe holding conferences for Christian ministers.

I was a baby Christian when I first heard this man speak! And I’m so thankfully I grew up in biblical manners with his teachings, for I know what a real preacher shall speak of…. Not a single pastor today, could hold this man’s Bible!!!! NAME ONE

I is such a blessing to hear a pastor speaking the words of Jesus (Bcz that is what He calls us to do just like He called his apostles who still preached His word even after Jesus crucified) and Pastor Wilkerson certainly did & clearly still DOES speak the word! I’m so grateful God allows his servants word to still be available in spirit & in truth for all of us to hear! “So that His sheep won’t be scattered”….

First came into contact with Bro. Dave at the age of 12 through the book "Cross And The Switchblade" that was 51 years ago. He was and still is a Father in the faith. What an indescribable blessing he was and still is. Only eternity will reveal the eternal value and fruit of Christ thru this man.

Please please sisters & brothers, PRAY for me that God will COMPLETELY & FOREVER of anxiety, fear, and a fear I’ve dealt with over 20 years. I praise, sing, quote scripture, weep, pray, have fasted…PLEASE pray GOD heals me! Please pray prayers of faith! And PLEASE pray for our lost prodigal son, Lee, to hurry and come back to Jesus, and that he and his wife will be saved and their marriage restored. Thank you for prayers for both of these things!

I had this same conversation with the Lord one time, because I told him I didn't sign up for this and wanted to turn in my Bible! Oh yeah, where are you going to go, he said & to trust him( Prov. 3:5-6)? For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Is.55:8-9) Well, I am still with him to this day because I trust in his promises& he has been faithful to me in my weaknesses! God is good all the time all the time God is good. I am a walking testimony

Isaiah 30---V-7 Be Still, V-15 Be Quiet, V-18 Wait, and V-21 Hear. So grateful to hear David teach on this. I taught it once and had a " Pastor " laugh at me. In the fast paced high tech instant gratification world we live in, so very few Christians are willing to slow down and apply Biblical principals such as this to their lives---And yet wonder why they are almost always shipwrecked.

Brother Dave, like you I have only just started to let go and let God. After 35 yrs of been a Christian and having been through terrible trials that the lord has supported me through I have been nothing but a mess over a situation in the last year. But I got to that place where I said lord I can’t do anything but trust you in this, I don’t know what your will is but I know you know all about it. I have let go and let God, and lord the peace I have had for the past month has passed all understanding. Thank you Jesus……thank you.

But its not just testing. When ppl become numb, that puts a distance between them and God. When they let life overtake them because they go through the motions without emotions. Like for example: Have you ever done something while thinking of something else, to later ask did you do that or not. You don't remember because you were not mentally there. That is what ppl do now. Their minds are so distracted with so many other things. God knows that you are not putting your full emotions/mentality into what you believe. That is why God is not answering our prayers at times. I know this because I have done it. We have to let the rest of the world go so that we dedicate ourselves fully to the Lord not part of ourselves. I don't belong to the world, so I know the Lord has all of me. You get back what you put in. May the Lord bless you all with Awakening, healing and Wisdom...... In Yeshua's name......Amen

I experienced numbness where there are no more tears i don’t know how to cry anymore before i keep on crying but when i’m numb i don’t have the emotion. I know that my emotion perish but my mind is aware and alert its true due to numbness my flesh is lazy to pray and backsliding but my mind is reminding me to pray and keep praying even if i don’t feel anything. There are days you don’t feel praying but i’m aware of my flesh is getting away from God and i force myself to pray even if i don’t feel praying i felt the conviction of the holy sprit every-time i pray even i’m numb.

@thinkandthankeveryday It's hard to say because I don't know where your heart lies oh your mind. I don't know the things that you do and the things you don't do. But it's like being in a marriage that is one-sided. You have let go of the world and embrace the Lord. You have to let the Lord work thru you. Entrust in him to fill you with the Holy spirit and take the sorrow that Satan put there, away. Lay it all on the Lord lap and he will make you like brand new. God bless you with healing and wisdom.

I have been in a heavy heartbreaking trial for a long time. The Lord has been with me in it, but it has broken my heart with what breaks His heart; rebellious children. ( Isaiah 1:2) But He is strengthening my faith as I run to Him day and night. He has used scriptures and sermons like this one. He never leaves us but will allow the suffering as a way to conform us to the image of His Son. Romans 8:28-30. God is so Good and faithful to His Children.

Amen. Never too old to learn. We only love much because we have been forgiven much. Persevere + Stand strong in Christ. Shepherd others. The Lord God is a consuming fire and will burn the chafe. He'll allow us to be sifted until we call out to Him. Salvation will transform your life and restore your faith in the author and finisher of Life: Father, Son, and Spirit born of a Woman. I do run to the Lord I ran to the Lord and the Lord told me to tell as many as much friends as possible because we're dealing with very powerful people here and I want to make sure that I not only have the Lord for the Lord does not they will not call on the Lord so they will not hear the Lord as my witness so I run to friends so I do have witnesses
