Very good breakdown of the traits in both. I've had relationships with both - the emotional and psychological damage in being in relationship with someone like that takes months, if not years, to recover from. There is not enough public awareness around this, especially those with ASPD in churches are are completely manipulating other Christians. This man is very rare, indeed, to be self aware enough and it's great he's educating around the condition.
I just realized I've been w/ one for 9 terribly wasted years. I can't tell quite which he is, but his affair was my big wake up call. I knew there was something missing w/ him years before, but never knew quite what. He has a veneer of Christianity and likes the idea of it, and sure can talk a good game. Unlike David Wood, no true conversion and no heart change or eagerness to keep his word, not lie, stop feeling superior. All the things they do. It's brutal, this realization, and I've only fully come to it a few days. It helps somehow though.
I worked with a sociopath before and after he got fired for flipping out and threatening someone, the rest of the team wanted to celebrate. My coworker actually said about the sociopath that got fired, "When he left, he took a dark presence with him." I'll never forget that. People like that make others miserable.
That’s so sad. 😔 I can understand their relief but how sad this man doesn’t know what it’s like to be missed and for people to feel safe and happy around him.
I do go trough my list of people - work, relatives, etc - and try to spot the socio/psycho 😅 On a side note, I am so grateful that David got to encounter Jesus, praise God!
This is why we need the natural moral law (guided by Supernatural moral law). With Natural Law, even a sociopath or a psychopath can always do what is right (even if their personal feelings are no help to them). Without the Natural Law, since they do not have a strong capacity for empathy, they will struggle greatly to do what is right (as David did before his conversion).

Plz keep in mind that neither psychopathy nor sociopathy constitutes as physical diseases - any distinction between those social constructions lies purely in our definition since neither is based on any medical discoveries nor biological evidence.

A psychopath that is motivated to change can - *with appropriate help*- learn a kind of mental toolkit to get along with others in a constructive way. As we can see here😊

True however its not that black and white, its really 50 50 on the nurture/nature part with the psychopath, where sociopath is all nurture, or "created" as you said.
Wouldn't a psychopath be a subset of a sociopath, who is a person who feels no remorse for their acts, with the additional traits of ego centrism, and manipulator to serve their purpose.
That's a myth. Some of it is true, the genetic predisposition part, but most of it is like with sociopaths, how you are raised and the enviroment you grow up in

If I oftenly have negative thoughts toward people including those who actually love and accept me or my friends, thought like they don't like me or become suspicious, what do I have? Should I go to psychologist?
There is one interview im where he said that if something bad happened to his children, he would wish to cry his eyes out, but he knows he wouldn't. It's not like he hates his children, he surely lives them, but can't put feel and put the emotion outsides of him as normal people do. I hope I'm not misrepresenting anything of his situation, though.
