I was there... just happened to buy tix to that game before he announced his retirement. My whole family was there with usual doesn’t happen... will forever be my favorite baseball memory

@@buttsexwithbabies2316 just shut up man we celebrated his retirement because he was with the Mets for his whole 14 year career, just because he wasn't top 50 all time doesn't mean anything let's say your parent retired and they are having a party about their retirement and I come in here and say that since they aren't a billionaire that you shouldn't be celebrating and that they are bad imagine that happened but unlike your parents we are celebrating someone who contributed to the Mets franchise while your parents didn't contribute to the world by having you

7x All-Star, 2x Gold Glove & Silver Slugger. Franchise leader in hits, RBIs, runs scored, total bases, extra-base hits, doubles and walks. The game misses you Captain America. We all miss the game. Great game

I don't feel that strongly about this, but the fact that the marlins didn't make it easy for David Wright to get a hit out of respect shows no class. Sometimes baseball is more than just a game. Especially for two teams that were already knocked out of the playoffs

Holy crap. I dislike the Mets. I was raised this way at this point I only feed it to my baseball loving son, I’m sorry for this but as a South Jersey native there’s no other option. As a probably 11 year old ish kid back then, I cried my eyes out in his last game, watching the TV at home. I remember the world series home run that he hit when I was probably in fourth grade, I still cry watching this back, its crazy how nothing else can make me cry except this.
