@@l.bmthethwa1598 yet your women can have enough of Nigerian men. No matter how much you try to place us in bad lights, we keep growing and representing.
@@davidprince7189 just means 2 africans In the building, davido and Trevor who are both successful In their respective careers. Hence saying Nigeria and South Africa stand up. Are u that slow? 😎😎😎
Well, is that a good thing or bad? Because, a lot of the non-native speakers has some kind of accent crisis, simply because they're bilingual and didn't grow up speaking English in one accent.
Thank you Davido for shouting out the Nigerians in the dispora! Many people back home think we have forgotten about but bruv the dispora's mission is bring all their wealth, knowledge and resources back home to help
That's not true. Most Nigerians who go abroad relocate permanently abroad. They have no intention of returning. At least they send money home, so they are not completely useless.
My first time in Senegal the first person I saw as my friend as a none Nigerian was A Cameroonian, though he is in China now and I am no more in Senegal we still talk every day
@@ghanacommercialbank6390 You're right... and Amapiano is a subgenre of Afrobeats already because the elements of Amapiano can already be found in the indigenous beats of western and southern Nigeria in addition to Ghana in some and most cases... Amapiano can't jump class. It took Nigerians over 30-60years to get to this stage. For Nigerians, Amapiano is just a ready-made cloth from your favourite materials or like a store in your kitchen... A bit said.
When I was younger (and I fell in-love with "Dami Duro" when it came out) I would believe and tell people that his name is Davido because Nigerians put "ooo" in EVERYTHING, until I found out that his name is JUST David😑
Trevor Noah you need to listen to the great "fela anikulapo kuti" His quote was relevant in the past in the present and the furture "Music is the weapon of the future"
I love the videos its perfect!!! 1 complaint, not horrible, its just i can't hear it on max.. wish it was a little louder I can barely hear it in max speakers on my headphones, car speaker, and Bluetooth speaker
Bring South Africans like Maphorisa, Focalistic, etc... to your show. The piano movement is moving globally so they deserve to be there! Piano ya fisa nou so!
@@ogodisengselokela8571 and you resort to insulting someone by their grandmother. Yerr. Fact is those artists are not on the same scale as Davido on the international stage, Trevor's show is an international show, the producers want the high ratings, so it makes sense to bring people with a much more global reach especially if they not American. Davido, Black Coffee, Burna Boy, Chimamanda Ngozi, Nelson Makamu etc these people have a much more global reach.
You don bring am come youtube (tribalism), a nigerian is a nigerian, be it igbo, yoruba, tiv, hausa and the likes, I don't know why dem go dey talk especially igbo, (if it's so) then what are you trying to say? That you're the best, right? Smmmh
The way people are concerned about his accent switch, listen its normal in Nigeria. When speaking, we have accents for different occasions. When formal, we use formal English (with proper pronunciation and stuff), when with friends, we speak pidgin, when telling a story or describing an event or dropping jist (ie spilling tea) we have the accent we use for that as well depending on the vibe. You only get that when the Nigerian talking with you, is comfortable with you enough to switch accents, to express themselves that way (and knows you'd understand what they are saying), or the person is naturally a friendly or free spirited person (which Davido is). Other wise, you'll just get someone calm and polite and thats it. So calm down. And enjoy the show.
@@joyishaya7882 what is my own in this? Have you seen my reply at all ,why are you replying me when I'm a Nigerian I can't say anything bad about my beloved country except our bad leaders.guy pls check comments b4 replying
Trevor is bigger than Davido actually and it’s not even a comparison, Davido was rather honoured to be on the show .. Nigerians and their delusions sometimes 🤦🏾♀️
What Trevor Noah said from 2:35 is very important. I came to the US at 13 years old and I remember how it used to be to be African. Now, I feel like Afrobeat and this emergent popcultural visibility has rebranded the way that Africans are seen across the diaspora. Nigerians did that.
I got married in August of 2021 and all of the music our wedding party came Into the reception with was Nigerian music ( I have Nigerian ancestry from my dad) however, my husband and I entered to One Milli by Davido so his music is a part of our memories and Playlist forever
@@truethots3088 not fighting my brother, lol. I'm from South Africa and there's a huge Nigerian community here. I've never met a humble Nigerian in my life. I even have Nigerian friends.
