Davina and The Vagabonds - "I'd Rather Go Blind" 

I've never heard a good cover of anything Etta ever did... until now!

As many times as I have watched this video, it still surprises me that people are talking at the end. The very first time I saw her sing this live, I stared at her in awe with my mouth wide open. I've never seen someone fall into a song the way Davina does and I love the way she takes you along with her.

This sister sings from a deeper place. Got to see her and the band twice in 2014 what a treat... This is music.

Saw Davina do a show in Gahanna Ohio June14th. The band and show was great as usual but wow. ... Her performance of I'd Rather Go Blind sent chills down the audience's spines. A standing ovation isn't enough.

I'd rather go deaf than to hear life without Davina's INCREDIBLE voice! Going to 'sit in' on drums right now in my studio and see if I can play along without making my snare drum soggy from tears. DATV are, WITHOUT COMPANY ON THEIR LEVEL AND WITHOUT PEERS, my ABSOLUTE favorite band in the world today! If you have a chance to see them live do yourself a favor and GO!! The only thing you'll regret is if you have a chance to see them and don't go. Davina Sowers eats, breaths, dreams, and lives, oh hell, Davina Sowers IS old school blues/jazz with a 21st century top-notch band making her performances feel like you've been in the presence of AND entertained by ROYALTY! Don't take my word for it, go see and hear for yourself ASAP. (^=

I LOVE this band! Davina is absolutely amazing at the piano and her voice is phenomenal!! Saw her live only once; at Famous Dave's in Minneapolis and that is one of the BEST live shows I've seen!!

Saw her in at the Arlington arts centre Newbury (England) 12 Sept 2013 Just just gripping, couldn't take my eyes off her, she has a different band who were very very talented, highlight of the show for me was this song which I'm not too proud to say gave me goosebumps and put a tear in my eye.
