Simon, dude, you are so intelligent. 😂. This is so hard to learn, but I finally get it, because you make it possible to learn after watching this video, a million times. lol😂. Learning this prove that you can get it, if you don’t give up.
Dude! I'm a former Nuke guy that's been trying to learn Fusion. This is by far, the BEST tutorial I've seen on projections inside of Fusion. Do you mind if I link to this video in an upcoming tutorial I'm doing?
Thank you so much Simon. I searched for apple motion tutorial and you are ONLY one who is still updating videos and you are the best. 谢谢你 西蒙(this is the Chinese translation of your name)。这个视频很赞~
i have problem with roof.. i have different photo of train station, but when i change Y scale of scale of shape3D1, then roof is not good to ground.. :/
Great tutorial and nice technics, better than using projector as the lights of the scene are not affected and puting 3d object in it is easier. thanks a lot.
Another fantastic tutorial. Thanks, Simon! Love these. Req: All about tracking (including tracking shape points for roto, diff connect-to options to track data, etc).
Your videos have helped me a lot. I've recently just got into video editing. I needed an intro so I looked up some motion tutorials. I used your rain on glass tutorial. :) thanks
Does anybody have any insight as to why my Y scale transforms the clip instead of cropping it?! Eg. instead of getting the image to cut off cleanly above, say, the roof of the platform to allow us to place the sky further back, it just "squeezes" my image. I've been banging my head against a wall for hours and have yet to find an answer!
thank you so much for this. it is really quite extraordinary what you are able to do. will you consider doing a tutorial for putting a character keyed from a green-screen into a 3D CGI scene? there do not appear to be (m)any tutorials which show this, and certainly not for Fusion 9.
978/5000 Hello Simon. Congratulations for the channel and your incredibly eloquent explanations in your videos about Fusion. They really are a great help to us. I don't know if you'll read this, but I try. I have a basic question and I don't want to ask you for an exclusive video, you can answer it here. I load a 1080p video, and I want to add a Spot Light, which is a 3d node. Then, I put the video in a Plannar 3d node and I merge the 2 of them in a Merge 3d node. And I add a camera. And looking through the camera, in a Render 3d node, the question is: how do I make the video look exactly at 1080p (size) as the original, without having to scale millimeter or adjusting the camera's X, Y, Z values? Well, the intention is only to add a Spot Light to the exact dimensions of the original video. That is complicating me a lot and I am sure it must be very easy thing to do. Thank you very much for your time, effort and response. I believe that all of us who are starting in Fusion greatly appreciate your tutorials. Thanks again and best wishes to you!
Here's a suggestion that will work but there may be other ways to approach it. Set the scale of your 3D image plane to 1.92 wide and 1.08 high in order to get it to match your 1920x1080 image perfectly. Set your 3D camera to Orthographic (rather than Perspective) - then set its Scale to 1.85 and its Z position to 1.0. Hope that helps.
