A walk through of my workflow using Davinci Resolve 16 to edit footage taken with my Sony a7III. I go over some basic coloring and how to stylize using NODES.
Thanks Donovan for this great video, I'm actually planning to make the switch from Premiere to Davinci for color grading my A7riii footage and this really helped motivate the idea.
Hey Donovan, I can't seem to import A7III files into the free version of Resolve. Do I need to get the paid version or is there a way to import the files that I am missing? Can you help?
Hey, Thanks for the tuto :) I was wondering, how do you import the arw files from your Sony in resolve? Because I'm experiencing some problem to do tat. Resolve tells me that it can't read the files. Do you convert it before?
Hey !! How to work with xavc s, sony footages round trip from premier and resolve, there is a issue related to time code, how to get it set for smooth work flow between premier and resolve ??
Hi Donovan. Nice video, thanks. I have an A7II , can you suggest the best way to unpack the AVCHD files in order to bring them into Davinci is the best format? Thanks.
Hi, thanks for the video. Do you think it's better to shoot slog vs picture profile for grading? Some people say that with the 8bit on the sony A7 III it's better to get a picture profile close to the reality to not stretch too much after in post.
You are absolutely right. I plan on making a follow up video to this, now that I have the a7SIII to compare the 10bit slog footage. I also have a more professional color correcting workflow that I'll go over. Stay tuned!
