youre not noticing him stressing "the players" . The Clare manager has no interest in that petty nonsense. Thats the difference between them and its why Lohan is revered in Clare
Couldn't beat an underperforming Limerick team that were down to 14 men with plenty of time on the clock in the first round robin game. This showed the limitations of Davy and his management style. He literally changed nothing after Hegarty was sent off in that game and just crossed his fingers and hoped Waterford would win, instead of adapting to the space on the field afforded to his players. I knew at that point we wouldn't win a single game this year.
Fair play to him ,to come out fighting, hes high profile and some people will love to see him fall flat on his face ,hes getting the sticks, but Waterford is a proud hurling county ,,so come on lads get behind your manager, and prove the armchair punter wrong .
Good luck Davy to you and your team you are such a fantastic and caring person. Keep up the spirits Davy you are one in a million... Good luck to you and your team 👏👍😊
They fell out over a Fitzgibbon cup match years ago. Davy had LIT and Lohan had UL. UL we’re the favorites, Davy arrived out to UL and had the team walk through trees and cones where the UL team was warming up. LIT won it but it was a very cranky encounter by all accounts. They have barely spoken since.
@@paulmooney-nl1zt ah right I see. Thanks Paul for your very informative answer. I was wondering what happened and thought that when they came from the same era could they not be friends.
Paul Kinnerk can lay claim to that win along with the many titles he has helped Limerick to since. Davy didn't do much with them once Kinnerk was moved on.
Your chances were from 90 yards Davy and Lyons was sent off for two stupid bookings. Waterford were never in the game and the sending off changed nothing
I go to all Tipp's games, league (including up to Corrigan Park) and championship. The Round Robin in Munster is the best addition to the championship in my lifetime and I'm around a while. It's pure cut-throat and you are guaranteed 4 days out. The pressure is on every team from the first ball thrown in. The previous crap of waiting 3, 4 or even 5 weeks for your next game was nonsense. All in my opinion of course.
