Davy by getting the sack was very public. Even some radio stations who only refer to horses when Cheltenham came, brought it up on their programmes. One in particular was Last Word on today Fm. Credit to Russell, it took it with grace. Low and behold Gigginstown had to come calling when their new boy got injured, and won Group 1 on Clarcam.
@Ger Maher I can appreciate that biology classes are few and far between in horse bullying school, but we are all animals. And yes, before you ask any more simpleton questions, I do breathe and I do use my eyes to see. What I don't do is bully horses by punching them in the face. Do you?
I commented on this before the incident and i'm not going to get in a debate with you about how good of a pilot of a horse he is. But, you cannot excuse what he did, the ban was to short, and the camera doesn't lie. And no wizardry, just a stupid thing, not making an excuse, but we've all done things that we're not proud of, and I hope he feels like a pile of shit, but I doubt it unfortunately. Will I support him, yes, because if he is on something that I feel has a good chance, I will back the HORSE. But as a big fan of Davy Russell, I feel extremely let down. But prior to this incident, Davy's been riding very well, and ofcourse I'll support him, but this incident pisses me off just as much as it has pissed you off. Watch Sean Leveys punch at Kempton, they deserve to be put in the spotlight and reprimanded, its on RU-vid.
I hear you Dan and I have seen Sean Levey's punch too. I thank you for your honesty, however having crossed the line in public it is hard to believe that they both don't do worse behind closed doors. I personally think they should both be banned from being near animals for life.

Vegan Radio You are a fucking goon 😂😂 A horse is a very strong and tough animal. A slap of a whip would probaly bother the horse more so than a tap to the head. He had to make the horse behave himself otherwise the horse could have flipped him over the fence and could have seriously hurt him.
So Lee on the one hand you are saying _'a tap to the head'_ wouldn't bother the horse whilst on the other hand you are saying the same _'tap'_ made _'the horse behave himself'_ . Which is it Lee? Either it was violent enough to cause the horse to not _'have flipped him over the fence'_ or it was not.
Davy your a class act and a credit to your profession you must be having a little smile to yourself every time you go out and win on the giggestown colors especially after the way you were treated by you know who . Secondly you should give Ruby Walsh a few tips on how to be a class act because you are streets ahead of him long may it continue for you

A great interview , seems like a very genuine down to earth person . The jury is still out though on whether he rides horses on their merits all the time
