It is very interesting to see where all the concrete sections are made, I have just one question: Where does the reinforcing come from??, It's great seeing it all come together, 👍👍
I would like to ask Jack a question. Not related but as interesting. Jack you know the Tower Cranes we see around our towns and cities? Are they remote controlled? I never see a person up there
Dawlish beach has a lot of stone mixed with sand, during storms this must create a powerful ablation force. The old granite stones used were heavily rounded from storms. Concrete is not as hard as granite, how long will the surfaces last? I have never understood why the breakers are not kept maintained, either.
Very Good and informative, but there is one thing that I can.t understand is that the planners have allowed an open walkway between the lifts. Disabled people in wheelchairs will get wet and cold, and the little canopy over the lifts are facing the strong prevailing winds and rain. Rain will more than likely drive into the lifts . Sorry to be negative but as a disabled person, this bothers me, and the whole externalness of the structure.
