I took the Pit of Maledictus track from Dawn of War II: Retribution and extended it for my own personal use, but then decided to upload it. This track doesn't belong to me and I didn't make it; it was composed by Doyle W. Donehoo.
"Such is the final testimony of Gabirel Angelos, Captain of the Blood Ravens 3rd Company, saviour of Tartarus, bane of the Black Legion, servant of the Emperor!
"No more talk, Kyras. You now have much to answer for. For what you have done to the Blood Ravens, much shall be avenged this day! FOR GABRIEL! FOR THE EMPEROR!"
I know the Pit of Maledictus mission is suppose to be a serious mission where the fate of the entire subsector is at stake, but when you play it as the Orks it's just fucking insane and awesome with how much they really don't give a shit about what's really happening. The only reason they're after Kyras is because their new space hulk will be destroyed if he succeeds.
This song is what defines Warhammer40k. Be it that there may be only war, but no man who's died in his service has died in vain. None shall find us wanting.
They say the more you listen to a song repeatedly. You can begin to dislike it. This.... I could never dislike this. Every start over begins a new auditory induced imagination. Every one, as epic as the last. This is music of War
Diomedes: For what you have done to The Blood Ravens, much shall be avenged this day. For Gabriel, for The Emperor! Cyrus: For The Chapter! Tarkus: For those who have fallen, for those who cannot be redeemed!
I can't take this mission seriously with Diomedes tanking and destroying EVERYTHING with his thunderhammer, with Cyrus Tarkus and Martellus destroying EVERYTHING ELSE. Which is why I think it's the best mission in retribution.
Brothers, retribution is at our hand, let fury guid your weapon, let vengence be your song. Into the fires of battle! Unto the anvil of war! Our swords is at the Emperor's command. We answer to no other man, living or dead.On the Anvil of War are the strong tempered and the weak made to perish, thus are men's souls tested as metal in the forge's fire. For the glory of the Chapter. FOR THE EMPEROR!!!
Diomedes, survived Typhon did you? You shall make a fine sacrifice. Another step on the path of daemonhood. Both you and Angelos, another skull, another corpse, bloated with blood!
No more talk Kyras, you have much to answer for. For what you've done to the Blood Ravens, much shall be avenged this day! *For Gabriel! For the Emperor!!*
I love it how people are whining that this sounds like a track from Two Steps From Hell - Black Blade...and well...the 1st bit does that is true...but it is darker...and well the rest of the track is pretty damn different. But hey let's get back to the point I was making...With your logic people...EVERY music track in the world which uses instrument X (X being a guitar, drums or what not) would be stealing the sound of the instrument...A lil bit of inspiration from other creators/media is good! And don't forget that!
Playing this mission as Imperial Guard really make you feel like how Cadian *went* through everyday Tuesday - Stopping daemons and constantly protecting mankind.
Hard to say who copied who. Dawn of war-2 was released 2009, and Black Blade album was released 2010, but the retribution DLC wasn't released until 2011. Two steps from hell often makes music for big games so maybe GM got help from them? Wiki don't show it though.
Such a heroic song. In my head this song plays in a warhammer film (hope I live to see it made) during the moment all seems lost and the hero picks up his power sword
Who would win? Psychic Khornate daemon prince Or Moustached man, Mean lady in armor, Old man with automatic howitzer, and A one-eyed Communist with an itchy trigger finger?
Not mine, actually. I might've gotten it, but showed no symptoms or got rid of it in a single night (Happens way more often than you think). Meanwhile my uncle looked like someone kicked his ass while grandfather went to the hospital. Goes to show that everyone is different. :\
@@suleymanbabak1973 Try Chaos Rising, where the daemon Ulkair has an obscene number of hit points and for every Blood Raven Space Marine killed it gets more hit points
Imperial Factions against Kyras: - Heroic, the last stand against daemons to save the subsector. Orks: - Doesn't give a fuck, just enjoying the battle and trying to win to have more battles in the future; Tyranids: - Battle between two predators to know which one will consume the subsector first
+qbmax32 Doubt it would ever be sued, look at Doom for mirroring Slayer, Metallica, Pantera and Alice in chains. Doom has been around for 23 years and hasn't been trashed yet.
