I have absolutely loved following your artwork come to life with all of these different tutorials!!! Thankyou so much for this take on crafting! You took this challenge to a totally different level :)
Following you now from this challenge of different designs with Taylor's design and I look forward to all your videos. I am a new tumbler creater so I need help with everything and ideas. Thank you for being on RU-vid ❤️
Thank you for sharing your Axolotl! They are such amazing little critters. We just lost ours a couple weeks before the cold storm. He had a really hard start to life and we rescued him not expecting him to live. He made it a year and a half with us! Love your take on the power wash drip lip tumbler! Thanks for a great video!
I watch so many of your videos and I’m not sure if I ever comment, but THANK YOU! One of these days I hope I can start posting videos. I love when I hear of the different people I watch collaborate. It’s helps to watch pieces of different videos! You guys are so amazing! I have my first craft event Saturday! I’m just nervous about how many cups I’ll actually have. But I I love CRAFTING!
I saw all the videos - couldn't wait to see yours lol - MNG, Sandy Chaos, Flynn Sisters ,Ms. Kris & of course Duncan Air Brush - all the same - but unique in their own way - WTG Taylor - TYVM for this - awesome tumbler
I love the purple! Each one of you made such an awesome version for this collab. So beautiful and what a fun idea to see everyone come together with one common idea. Thanks for sharing!
Love it! This was a cool challenge....and to think, a MAN who does tumbler crafting in his "manly" way put this together. ❤ I've been introduced to several new channels through this challenge.
I have been waiting to see this! I legit squealed when Taylor listed who he was collaborating with and saw your channel!!! This turned out so freaking amazing, Jess! Glad you're safe, been thinking about you during all of this crazy weather 💜💜💜💜💜
🥰🥰🥰 thank you Kara!! It was for sure something to remember, but we definitely had it better than many many others! Thank you for all of your sweet thoughts and encouragement!
I love ❤️ your cup !!! It’s beautiful !! I watch you tube (listen ) when I’m doing my cups in my shop... I kept checking to see if my water heater was leaking water 💧 💧 💧... so glad u told us it was your aquarium!! I was checking my garage like a crazy person! 🤣🤣🤣. Appreciate u and all your knowledge !!
Beautifully made Jess! So good to see you again 🤗 was wondering how y’all made out with the freeze on. I figured being out in the country maybe y’all are a little bit of preppers .. We live in the sticks and we definitely stock up for hard times & make fires and so on. What a happy little Rocket. Thanks for sharing him for a moment. Seems like a water dog or a newt type critter. Glad you guys are doing well- hopefully that’s the end of the nasty weather. In Oklahoma it was minus 9* with the windchill a couple nights and below freezing for days. It’s no fun when we can’t get outside bc it’s freezing- no snowmen either. Our snow is still 4 or 5 inches deep. Icicles hanging down. The sun is shining today and it feels beautiful again. Thanks for sharing. It’s sooo good to see your pretty face. Ty 🌹🌹🌹
Gorgeous! I’m going to use this design on EVERYTHING if I can ever remember to print it out. LOL. I’ll definitely do some clear water slides over super sparkly glitter. 😍😍 By the way, I’d never heard of an axolotl before either. They’re so stinking adorable! I showed yours to my 17 year old son to see if he knew what it was, and of course he knew all about them already. I can’t believe he kept important information like that from me! 😂🤣
Love the purple! I think this one might be my favorite... I’m not positive though lol. Gonna have to watch them all one more time to be sure. You all are so talented and creative! Also I loved seeing Rocket, he’s very cool.
Am I the ONLY one who preferred the lighting on the indoor epoxy?? WOW I felt like I have never been able to clearly see the colors and methods you use before. Especially the glitter reveals would be amazing in this lighting!! I absolutely love your design and the glitter choice was definitely right on.
I have been SO EXCITED for yours to come out!! It is a very sexy cup from what the camera shows, very lace and lingerie in a sparkly way. Rocket is so PRECIOUS! I had NEVER heard of an Axolotl until my 17-year-old daughter showed a Google photo to me. BLOWN AWAY that others know what they are. Lol! Again, gorgeous cup! I have got to try that Liquidy Split.
Beautiful!!! Question - after you do the dawn soap on the tumbler, and spray paint and rinse - what do you do after? Do you just let it dry? What about the remaining soap residue? Thanks. Great collab.
Wow its truly stunning I love it and I dont even like purple..sorry I know you love purple. Thanks for sharing in a tutorial as well as your pet! Hugs -christine
Gorgeous creation but I thought it was a bad ombre challenge were your supposed to be blindfolded to paint an glitter. I've watched them all an love them all including yours. I was just wondering if maybe I misunderstood.
This one was just Taylor sending a sticker for us to create with. The other bad ombré challenge was different cups and suggested by Jessica Flynn. The only real rule thrown on the table was to glitter it blindfolded. Some of us went a little further and also spray painted blindfolded as well. 😆 it was just for fun, so nobody was trying to win anything.
Wow this is so pretty! I really like yours, it's really like a peekaboo power wash! Oh and Rocket is so cuteeee, I would love to try and get one, reminds me of the light fury from train your dragon
Thank you! I went around it with acetone and a paper towel for my base layer to make a super thin rim. Then, I just try to give it a little extra attention when it comes to epoxy and sanding.
The times that I do it, it’s right after spray paint. I’m trying to get better at sanding off a little rim exposure. So far I’ve come close to ruining a couple of cups trying to do that! 😩
Can I ask a couple of questions? If I used loctite first instead of epoxy and applied the glitter then do I sand it? Then I apply the decal? How long did you wait to rinse after you applied the spray paint before you rinsed it off? Also how do you know how many layers of Epoxy you need after that?
You can apply glitter however you normally do, just epoxy over until smooth since the bumps will show through on the paint layer. Don’t sand until you have a good barrier to avoid ruining the glitter. I rinsed immediately after I finished spray painting. I needed 2 fairly thin layers since I messed up one layer while curing, but one will likely be enough. 😊
Ventilation is super important. Wherever you work, make sure you can get fresh air in there and get the fumes out. I don’t usually epoxy in the house anymore, but lots of folks do.
@@ThePurpleStitch ok so i just added the glitter and I can rub my hand over it and glitter is coming off. That’s normal correct until I put the epoxy on it ?
@@ThePurpleStitch I love beardies!! We had a rescue iguana but he got to big for our tiny house so he went to a animal sanctuary where he had a much larger habitat.
PLEASE HELP ME!! I have tried to follow exactly on how to mix epoxy in every way possible and i still end up with an epoxy full of bubbles (10ml part A, 10ml part B) WHAT AM I DOING WRONG :( :( :( :(
It didn’t bother me, but you could definitely do the print and cut with a closer trim. Or cut by hand (I did that before I had a machine and software to print & cut)
I hated chunky glitter until I discovered a few of the tricks that I mentioned. Definitely extra epoxy when applying so that it can settle flatter. Then clearcoat before the first layer of epoxy is a must. Chunky glitter repels on those bigger pieces & this definitely helps. 😊
