Hi,so I started following your channel right after your issue with the rodents. The girdling video. Felt terrible and thought that was so random. I've never had an issue with that. I live way up in the mountains to. Around 7,200 feet. Any I bought a new home for first time 7 months ago and moved all my trees. Huge deck! Super excited to have endless room to expand. I all of a sudden noticed alot of my new groth being bitten off. It came and went and came and went. Never actually killed anything or did to much damage to the trunks. I also was battling the sun this summer especially with our high spring winds I was having he'll creating shade. Lost a few hinoki cypress. So I was having a very frustrated summer but learning and growing with my tress. Well...then the unthinkable happened and the worst case senerio. I was apart of the unfortunate wild fires of Ruidoso new mexico. I lost all my trees and the house. It happened so quickly I didn't have time to grab a few. Kick myself every day bit for not for grabbing atleast one. Any way I know it's a depressing comment and not trying to be super down or nothing. Ice read about other collectors who had same thing happene to them. You just never think thigs like this will happen to you. Kinda like the girdling I guess i was getting at. Really dig the channel man. The authenticity unique style,and family stuff is all great man. Appreciate the time and effort it takes ✌️
Really enjoying your summer setup - I'm still playing catch-up on vids so much has changed since I last saw. I slip pot my trees all the time - works great - just have to remember that they haven't been root pruned when I'm doing the next repot. I always love how beautiful your deck looks. Any fun summer plans?
