Hey Mrs Dawn. You mentored me at UVA Bball camp back in 1993 or 1994 a few days before your knee surgery. You and Wendy Palmer gave me the nickname Afro Puffs because of my hair.. What an honor meeting you ❤️
@@joeledwards4509why are white men always in the comments hating on black women? Especially when y’all love to imitate us when you’re lgbtq. I’d swear white men the epitome of a true DIVA!!!
Ms. Stay Stay, said what she said! Someone had to do it, and Angel Reese did just that. More than anyone in the WNBA HAS! Angel is the Angel God sent for this mission 😊❤😊❤😊❤

Not bad for a sister from the mean streets of North Philly. Goes to show people that it's not where your from, but where you're at. The entire of Philly is proud of you. When I get back home, I'm going to take a trip to your street, Dawn Staley Waym😊
It's very classy to imply people are racist without evidence. She cancelled a game because of false racist claims & took a "bar-fight" cliche as calling her players monkeys. Also she's had "intimate relationships" with her players in the past.
@@tanyawilliams5669Lol:) Wow!!! What rock you came from under? You also surely have a very short memory… last time I checked that young lady have an NCAA championship D1 ring. 🎉
@@iweekes8088 Did she get the Naismith? A Wooden? AP Player if the Year? Honda Sport? ESPN National Player of the Year? USA Today National Player of the Year? ESPN All America? Conference Most Outstanding? No? None of those? Wanna guess who does? 😹😹😹
Thank you for your honesty, Reese is definitely one of the reasons a lots of people have eyeballed the sport more than ever, including myself, and as you say, it's her personality, energy and character she presents, and that along with her surroundings cast makes its even that more dynamic, whether they're new comers or old cast they add to the chemistry she brings!👍
It's the truth but the press will not recognize or respect that fact. Everything she has done in the NIL space has been directed towards putting more eyes on the sport, most interesting WBB championship run in a minute. She has made the sacrifices that help visualize the athletes in the sports as well as played the protagonist villain which makes the story more compelling.
Yeah all that. & Angela Reese can really hoop(for real!).👍🏽👍🏽💯! And Angela Reese is HOT aswell.🔥🔥🔥🔥 Yeah I say it, & meant it & ain’t taking it back.🗣️
Same. I didn’t even watch the sport at first bc they were “too nice” but after seeing the last year I began watching more teams and it’s some TRUE Talent but I would’ve never known had I not been introduced to AR & the big 4
I went to the gamecocks parade and you had a beautiful speech about how your team is a great team and I was so impressed that you had the courage to speak with your team
Dawn Stanley is Class Act. Period!! Super polished and I love how poised she is during interviews. Kudos to you Sista!! Much love and keep shining. God Bless!
@kimbain6019 😂😂😂😂😂. She's a basketball player. She's not supposed to be. But since u said it, she IS a good example. A good example of how to be yourself and not feel bad about it. She's a genuine person. And we NEED MORE GENUINE PEOPLE in this world.
@@kimbain6019just because you don't think so doesn't make it so! She's never done anything towards anyone that didn't deserve it! When you disrespectful to people or opponents you can't expect them to just roll over and not be disrespectful right back! Always expect the same energy you give! AR is a great example for Little black children that look like her!!!!
@@kimbain6019what do you call a good example then? Athletes work their asses off to be that good and student athletes have a lot on their plate. Passion, hard work, determination... Most people struggle with that and it's something young people can emulate. No single person is perfect at all. You just go by whether you agree with them. But you're with errors too
She's not the best example, but she has definitely brought more attention to the game, even if she is getting paid for it. I'm confident that as she matures, she'll be more even keel. She's young, loves the attention & it's nothing wrong with that.
@watchingthecrazyworld7761 nah, they get plenty of press time. Always with that all lives bs...if yall could be trusted to do right by all the distinction wouldn't be necessary.
@@thelionness20 You're telling the safer community that they can't be trusted? While being the most dangerous community in America. I think I can already see your problem. You're delusional.
Dawn Staley is a class A coach with integrity and respect for the sport. While disgusted with the entire thug like excessive physicality behavior by both teams in the SEC Women’s Basketball Championship game, at least Dawn immediately and publicly apologized to all fans and spectators for her players’ actions. Mindful to the sport which is FINALLY gaining the respect and viewership it deserves. That game wasn’t basketball. It was Mixed Martial Arts with a ball that diminished the positive impact the sport has achieved. And then…there’s Kim Mulkey 🙄 A flamboyant spectacle that responds to media questions regarding the debacle with the answer: “I wish she (Karmilla Cordova) would have pushed Angel Reese.” 🤦♀️ Is that a coach? Exemplifying physical violence instead of respectful competition? Angel Reese may be the Bayou Barbie 🙄 but she’ll never have the class nor the respect the teams in the Big10 do.
Angel Reese is doing what I wanted to see. The game is growing the TV show. Juju will keep it going. I hope. The game has been good. For a long time. The nil will make this game the premiere entertainment product in sports between the Superbowl and the NBA playoffs.
Honestly… Angel is out there and being a lighting rod for all the positive but also all of the negative and all of that attention and each strike she receives is another eye on the sport and she takes it… its a lot to ask of someone and she’s the right type of person to do it
Being a father, coaching in many sports, from the 60s. In everything there is the promotion side for it to survive. Any one or thing use. Women have been held back part of that was the reluctants of women and men not supporting it. Any positive thing or persons need the support and be behind it. There a few who don't fully understand PUBLIC RELATIONS EVERY TEAM, AND INDIVIDUAL NEEDS BE VERY SKILLED AT IT. As he coach that never got pay rarely got a pat on my back. For a while I was the financial source. After took advice a business friend. It was the best thing I have used to become successful in my life. So please for your sake learn, the marketing side of anything.
I think what has really brought attention to womens basketball is tik tok, social media, etc. I know Catlin and Angel and now even Juju and Paige are doing well. Back when Diana Turadi was straight killing it in College and pros, she did not get the full recognition for a variety of reasons. Brianna Stewart too. I guess the rivalry and social controversies between Clark and Reese drew more attention than actual talents honestly.
While I love Dawn Staley I have to disagree with her comments about Reese. She has drawn a lot of negativity with her style of play. I would show her videos of pulling hair & throwing elbows in player's faces as examples of how NOT to be! I'd like to know if Dawn's comments about Reese were different in the locker room with her players before that game. And yes I know many players have done this and it's not acceptable behavior no matter who you are. Go Gamecocks! 🏀 🤙
You know Dawn is not going to trash talk Angel. A good coach never trash talks rival opponents. Dawn is an adult, and acts like one. Angel knows what she is doing, and Dawn doesn’t need to point that out. It’s between Angel and her coaches.
@@apprentessgooden2680 yea and Staley is a hard driver....she wouldn't have been acting the way she does with Staley...it's no nonsense....mulkey fits her well tho it worked out
