Hey Frosty! Just wanted to say thanks for being one of, if not the only, content creator from the media tour to do these sort of walkthrough videos without commentary. It really helps my hype levels for the expansion being able to get a sneak peek at where Soken is taking the music this time around. Cheers and hope you're getting some good rest before DT launches :)
Urqopacha is clearly meant to be Final Fantasy's take on Peru, and the music is everything I hoped it would be. That day theme with the pan flutes and guitar was gorgeous, and the night theme with Keiko's piano... I actually got misty-eyed.
I'm feeling this too. It makes me feel like I'm listening to tracks of 2000s mmo's I've played before. Feels fantastic. The only other composer that's made me feel the same way has been Yasunori Nishiki!
The night music is so nice? Sounds a little sad too. I could imagine this music also being a banger when it's reused and recomposed for the later, more emotional moments in the story.
