Hello Ruth, Sweden code is "sv-SE", you can check the full list at docs.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/develop/partner-center-supported-languages-and-locales. From my experience, it is better to avoid numbers such as 6/30 and to go with June 30 instead. Thanks you and have a great weekend too. Naji K.
Hi Ruth, is it possible to give year end date dynamically in TotalYTD DAX instead of fixed like(4/30), so can u pls help me with this if there is a way
Thank you! I can’t figure out the dax for same period last year with a fiscal year. I need my matrix to only show last year’s months that have data so far for this year.
Hey Ruth!! Thanks for sharing your time and knowledge! I've done exactly what you said, but it didn't work fully. My fiscal year is April-March, but the Power Bi is summing April-December. Do you know why and how to fix it? If you don't mind to help me would be great and very helpful!! Thanks!!
Nice Video on Fiscal Year concept ,I have a question we have different countries 1 country follow from jan to Dec ,another one follow April to March and someone follow july to June, in my report we have Country and Year are the slicer, in this case how to implement this plz suggest your recommendations
Hello ; I congratulate you on the very important and instructive tutorials. I would like to calculate the cumulation per fortnight and per month and camparer it on the same date of the previous campaign (which begins in June and ends at the end of May). Could you tell me what should I do please? Thank you in advance
I like the video of you in corner without boxes. Like you’re a presenter in front of a screen. Reminds me of seeing Don Norman talk from the page in the first Voyager hypermedia books in the early 90s: from Wikipedia: Norman, Donald A. (1994). Defending Human Attributes in the Age of the Machine (CD-ROM for Mac). Voyager Company. ASIN B000CIQ42I. Combining his books, Design of Everyday Things, Turn Signals Are the Facial Expressions of Automobiles, Things That Make Us Smart, with various technical reports.
Hi, Ruth, thanks for sharing the video. Fiscal YTD(or FYTD) is easy to understand but I’ve currently faced the issue of automatically updating FYTD numbers. For example, I have a data set that ranges from 201701 to 201812 and the data set will always remain 24 months each time I receive the new data. So if current month is 201812 and the FYTD sales should be something like =CALCULATE([Sales], DATESYTD(Date[Date], “12-01”)), but as soon as you have dataset for 201901, then this calculation for FYTD would be broken because “12-01” is a string. Is there a way to make FYTD dynamically change without having to change the string manually? I’ve tried several times but couldn’t find a nice way to solve it. Thanks!
This is awesome. I have a requirement to switch between a cal and fiscal year across my whole report. I can’t figure out how to dynamically change the month sort in a way that really works. If you want an idea foe a future vid. 😺
