thing is tho, what is techno supposed to sound like- weren't the origins of techno (chicago/detroit) based on minimalist synths, faster-paced, lots of layering, very percussive (i dunno)
So much disrespect for Dax, she's just in front of him and she's on her phone the whole set... I wish I could just smash her phone down through the YT video, or even better take her place in the boiler room and enjoy the energy that king Dax brought !!
@@thelen2er yep, that's why she flashes right at him with her camera at 1,5m distance max. Later on Facebook "Had a great night, y'all" when obviously she seems kinda lost at this party.
Nobody keeps the tempo up like dax at the moment, It seems to me it’s because he cuts out the intros , alot of the build ups and mixes all the tracks in at peak level, absolutely astounding skills!

@@dmomcilovic9185 yeah because the majority of technoravers enjoy things that you wont ever find in gabber, rhythm, a steady beat going on and on and on so you can lose yourself in and let your ears pick out all the details, the melodies, synths or the changing precussion. I would certainly not last long at a gabber party, as i enjoy techno but most gabbers would leave the parties i attend as quickly. But yea this crowd is still super lame
@@hanspeterbockling2836 Agree. I love hardcore, gabber, raw, xtra raw, speedcore, and most other harder styles, so saying that people can't handle this tempo is just silly. Different people, different tastes.
Saw him play a 3.5 hour set in Singapore last week, and now I fear nothing. Plus, said hi to him and he's a super nice guy too. Takes his fans really seriously.
It’s crazy, isn’t it? I’ve been listening to techno since 2018. Dax J is the reason I listen to techno. Now, 4 yours later, hard/industrial techno sounds more like early trance and hardstyle and the bpm is more around 150 to 160 bpm. Nothing wrong with that, I still enjoy techno. But I do miss the techno of a few years ago. I miss that rigidness and darkness.
Exactly the reason why Dax J is still the best because his style is fast and energetic without being fucking Rawstyle, Hardcore or whatever the trend right now is in the "Hard Techno" scene
Dax J, just a pure display of artistry. Proper techno, hasn’t got stuck in England with house or DnB. Stuck with what he wants. This is shown in this venue tbh, not enough genuine tech heads there to appreciate how hard he’s working, doesn’t look up once. True musician
This set has restored my faith in the new generation. I am 47 and have clubbed to techno since 1990, and gabba in mid 90s. Nice to hear hard techno is still being played, and not buried by the crappy minimal.
LOVE the techno, love Dax J, hate Eristoff and the ads which destroys music lovers, hate the people who want to be behind the dj to watch themselves later, put it on play and move, don't watch, LISTEN !
Bizarre good techno set, including some nice 'spores' of trance & acid. One of the better techno dj's nowadays. Love to see him back2back with Rush ;-0
Look at those filthy hipsters, they can't handle the power that Dax J brings. For sure one of the best techno DJ's of this generation, and techno will ever have. Bringing back the pounding techno!!
