We loved watching the video of them rescuing the nugget from the mountain. Best part was when they towed it through the lake. If anyone reading this hasn’t watched it they better look it up.
I was soooo hoping to see the world’s biggest off-road wrecker from Matt’s Off-road Recovery… Made my day that it was the first thing you filmed inside!!!!
I was excited to see it up close. Love watching them on RU-vid. We met Rudy in Moab at the Easter Jeep Safari and we’re blown away at how personable he was. Seem like great people.
@craig engelman This is an off road recovery vehicle. It's not the biggest wrecker ever, it's meant to recover rock crawlers, therefore it has to go where they go, be more capable and heavier than they are so that it doesn't tip over while towing them.... Capish...?
Hi Layton Auto Collision, MOOR, Fab Rats, …. It is amazing that the Samurai Ed drove around in the mountains prospecting so long ago would come back to him as the Golden Nugget. A beautiful story of friendship.
It was pure junk when they recovered it and look at it now. Restored totally by RU-vidrs from start to finish. I think it's too nice and Ed is afraid to drive it now.
I happened to run into Matt from Matt's Off Road Recovery at a random booth today and took a picture with him. Nice dude. The heavy off road wrecker is coming along well. Great to see all of that hard work in person.
Some people like different things. Tried to get a little bit of everything that we like. There’s 1000s of vehicles there. Way more lifted trucks with huge wheels and low pro tires then I would have ever would have thought. I guess there popular even if I don’t like them. Lol
Not sure if you watched the video or not or just comment on the thumbnail. We did not build the truck or have anything to do with it. We went to sema as a buyers and made a video of all the cool stuff that we saw. It is a great truck but over on Matt’s channel you can thank him for the hard work.
Thank you for NOT spending any time showing those gawd awful overbuilt, chromed out, bagged, 4x4's on huge low profile tires. Those are the stupidest vehicles on the road. Your presentation was smooth and classy with just enough coverage at each booth/car you visited. Much respect, bro!
Finding out what SEMA is an acronym for wasn't as easy of a internet search as I thought it would be. Matt’s Off-road Recovery seemed to be honored that they were invited so I thought I would check it out.
Literally I'm almost completely checking out SEMA 2022 for the MORR, FabRats, and RL stuff. The rest of what I'm interested in isn't enough to make me look for SEMA videos right now over other interest.
<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="40">0:40</a> back in my day we had to print directions how to get places. Luckily you didnt have to print those out or deal with getting lost.
Printing you schedules and all the tickets, meals and hotel is the safest way to travel. I always do it and then put them in my pocket. My wife like it on her phone .... until it goes dead or is missing or lost somehow.
I do the same thing! I also print out and carry my ODFW fishing license, even though we have a digital copy. It's only good as long as the phone works.
Ah the Golden Nugget. Probably the most famous vehicle at SEMA. FabRats were even getting comments on their GN restoration videos from the official RU-vid account at Google. Harbor Freight even supplied their latest model winch for the project before the winch hit the market.
<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="12">0:12</a> Just realized I should wait to see this at Matt's Off Road Recovery first, no worries, I'll come back to check this one after...
It would be nice if you show the info plates on the vehicles that had them I could freeze the vid and read the details of the build but still a great vid good job.
If anyone knows anything about The Golden Nugget, they know the time, money and energy that went into to bringing it to where it is today at the SEMA show! Go check out Matts Off Road Recovery, Fab Rats, Chads Fab, Robby Layton and Bikes And Beards to see the people responsible for making that build a reality and all the hard work they put into it!
I agree Fab Rats and Robby Layton did the jeep with Chad Rats electrical Then Beard so did the Rokon. What the name of the microblaster? Anyway it was good fun and educational .
I think this is what you are asking... It is an awesome adventure to watch from the beginning. Fab Rats, Robby Layton, Chad's Fab, and Matt's Offroad Recovery all teamed up to make those a reality. It is a great story. Definitely worth burning a few days watching the whole thing on all those channels!
Dude, GREAT content! I would suggest - from the perspective of a watcher of YT and not a creator - you might want to work on the transitions between edits. The sharp contrast between background noise and/or people talking to that same instrumental song makes it not as enjoyable to watch. In particular when you have the 'song' going in the background for one shot, then like 20 seconds later you jump to another shot where there is background noise, then about 30 seconds later you go back to the music again, but only for one quick shot. Again, this is only my perspective as a consumer, and I am not dissing you or your content; I just think this area could be improved...
We put music to all of day 2. We normally do but we lift the crowd noise in to make it feel more like you were there. But I can see what you are talking about. Thanks
#Leemen I seen on your video you posted . You showed a Can-Am that looks like it had air shocks on it. #<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="669">11:09</a> I am in a wheelchair I have 35" tires on my Can-An it is hard to get in to it at times. Did you see who made the air shocks . If anyone knows about them on who makes them. Please let me know.
I saw the jack but paid no attention to what it was doing under there. Got to keep in mind it’s not ready for service. It’s just there on display. It would be hard to put your half finished project out there for people to see. I’m sure it will be a really nice truck when it’s all done. Looks great even when partially done.
Printed documents, intelligent normal or not . Electronic all fail eventually often without warning infact my smartphone quit two days ago while I was watching 👀 a RU-vid video. No warning it just buzzed and went dead. I was able to retrieve everything except Callender and contacts from the backup files.
Most likely holding something in place from falling off, its a work in progress, far from finished, he said on his channels he had to get it somewhat ready for SEMA, i doubt the motor is even ready to turn on.
I bet they paid for the spot and put the stickers on it. I'm sure that they will come off after the show. Matt may not even know they are on there if he's not there yet. They do look bad and make it look cheap which it is not. I'm thinking they gave him the winches. I wonder if Matt will bring Ed and the crew with him? I bet it took a semi to haul it there. There is a lot of metal there that's for sure.
Well, when HF invites you to display in their booth and likely paid all your expenses plus provides you with merch throughout the year, you proudly display their logo and stickers.
