Ppl who don’t have or understand locs will think it’s extensions. You will have the most hair and length retention with locs. I’m extremely happy with the decision to loc my hair. Great video!
My auntie hair grew all the way pass her knees once loc’d up after 10 years and year 4 her hair look exactly like this!! This is why we got locs because they help retention and much more! I can’t wait for my year 4!
@@LoveIslandBeauty Sis if you want your curly ends back take a rat tail comb and comb out the ends of your locks maybe an inch or how ever much you want. Then finger coil the combed out ends with water or what ever products you use and bam! Curly ends again!!
@@LoveIslandBeauty Sis I just locked my hair for the first time 2 months ago I've been looking at them and wondering if they are too small I have 113 you said in the video that you only have 67 but it looks like more are you sure you have 67 because if so before I lock in in need to cut mines down because I want mines to look like yours🥰
I noticed a difference between people who start of with coils and people who start off with two strand twist. I think when you start off with two strand twist it's a whole other level
Locs is the secret to having long hair I'm 6 years in and I love them it's a blessing from YAHWEH to be awaken to growing your hair in a unique way in a world we're weave is taking over making our beautiful sisters bald with low self-esteem
@Terrell Massey Exactly!!! I totally agree with you!💯💯💯💯I’m in awe at how my hair has grown with locs it has never ever grown so long ever in my life the way it has with locs, I have fine hair but now with locs my hair is even thicker and fuller really magical!!!
@@millybadze2117 yes sis I know it's from Yah and believe he told me to lock my hair when I understood more about who I am spiritually it's his secret to a black woman's hair isn't it something how our hair grows like this but, when wearing weave it want grow noway near but, will make you bald just as he said he'll do cause scabs and baldness
@@terrellmassey1092 I so much agree with you sis! It indeed is super amazing! For years and years my hair remained in the same spot it was, I was putting all the weaves and chemicals I had dismissed any thought of ever having long hair at all and then I had an awakening of locing my hair it’s been an amaziing journey of how super beautiful our hair is! Peace, love and blessings your way sis!❤️🧡
with braid locs mine are not even their in layers because of my hair was uneven but,I like it like that as long as there long I'm at my bra strap sis!! I am don't dye I had tiny grays in front and on the sides I'm tempted to dye but, I'm not.Just like you sis The Most High blessed me with a beautiful face so people tell me anyways all praise to Yah.So with that I'll keep my gray's and continue to love my locs how do you feel about gray are you doing it and if so did it damage your locs personally I think dyes will damage them because it's not natural ok then .May the God of our fathers Abraham Isaac and Jacob continue to be with you sis
I love how you still love/embrace your locs even after mentioning how one broke/fell off. I think about combing mine out sometimes but I’m only four months in so I’m going to be patient. But this video goes to show that everything isn’t perfect but that’s the beauty of it. Thanks for the motivation! ❤️
Your hair is so beautiful! It's so sad that we are trained to believe that our hair won't grow, so we go str8 to accusing ppl of lying about their length. Keep doing your thang Sis and thanks for sharing your journey.
You’re the reason I started mine 3 years ago. Love them so much. Best decision I’ve ever made regarding my hair. Both of my kids have locs now, too. Thanks, you gorgeous queen! 😘
Your hair is so full and thick, ugh! It grew so fast too! I love the simplicity. You’re inspiring me to just let me natural color grow out. You are also so incredibly gorgeous, it’s ridiculous lol 😂.
I’ve had tremendous growth over the past two years myself. When I run into people I haven’t seen in a while, they trip about the length of my locs. Your hair is gorgeous. 🥰
I really enjoyed this video. Honestly, I could relate with a lot of your reactions throughout this video. I started locs a year and half a go and feel similarly. I'm excited that my hair reaches my collarbone without me having to stretch it out first. I never had that when I had loose hair. I know technically my hair isn't even truly long yet, but if feels super long. I'm also enjoying not having to worry about length retention. It's pretty awesome.
I've been loc'd for 2years 6months. Recently I have been toying with the idea that I wanted to comb them out. Then I remembered I followed you and your locs are always a huge inspiration. Thanks for this video!
I am in my 30 days journey. I am liking it. I know as time move on it will get better. Already there's growth. Can't wait to see what it will look like after a yr. Thanks for the video. Inspiring to say the least.
The hair has grown beautifully well. This is one of the reasons why Loc journey needs patience before you'll start to feel the hair and see it's beauty... Your hair has come a long way and it so beautiful now. Thanks for the update.
I'm getting my starter locs next week and for the life of me I couldn't make up my mind on the size. I am absolutely in LOVE with your hair! I will be telling my loctician "I want her hair!!" 😂Thank you for the inspiration and for all the helpful information you have shared!!
Your hair is gorgeous😍 your journey is one that made me decide to start locs on my hair. I’m 5 months in right now with the budding but I can’t wait to hit a year and see how mature they get. Thank you for being an inspiration 💕
You’re locs are so gorgeous! I’ve been watching your videos since you went natural. We went natural at about the same time, I locked my hair a couple of years ago and combed them out after almost a year. I’m going to start locs again soon but I don’t want to do it myself, I feel like my parts would be way off. Beautiful hair, beautiful family. 😊
I'm one year into my loc journey & your videos are so inspirational. I'm starting to really notice the growth with my locs, I started with comb coils. Can't wait to see more length.
I’m inspired, love this and all the info. I followed you way back when I was a new natural now over 10 years later I’m starting my loc journey and who better else to follow again 🌸😊
I started my last journey December 2018 with 49 coils. I combed them out in May of 2021. Started my new journey January 2022 w/ 94 two strand twist. I’m so excited to see what’s in store. I’ve been following you since the beginning of your journey. Your locs are so beautiful 😍.
You are beautiful, and your locs are gorgeous! I am officially three months away from my fourth year, too!!! Yaaaay!!!!!! I have seen some really cute short Loc pics, but I feel differently about going short. Having the same natural hair growth story as you (except when I started my locs my stylist started me with comb coils), I can FINALLY feel my hair on my back! I can't tell you (because you already know) how REWARDING it is to feel your hair falling down your back in the summer or while wearing a tank top! 😂🤣😂🤣 I am three months away from my goal length...so if I see scissors now... I'm running away! Lol!
Your locs are everything! 💖😍 Watching all these videos of y'all's beautiful locs has me so excited to watch mine form and grow! I got my starter 2 strand locs yesterday! But on another note, I can't believe someone accused you of having loc extensions. It kills some people to give other people their props. I don't understand... Anywho keep shining and being beautiful! 😘
I have always loved the look of locs and your locs are so beautiful and healthy. This weekend, I'm going to start my 10 year old daughter's loc journey per her request. She has never shown interest in wanting to learning how to properly care for her hair when it comes to conditioning, detangling, style it, and so on despite my efforts in trying to teach her. On the flip side she loves wearing it down and free; minus the detangling stage, resulting in me keeping it braided up 80-90 percent of the time to keep the knots at bay lol. I was initial on the fence as to whether to do comb coils or the two strand twist method due to her hair texture being 3a/3b and very long and dense, but after listening to your journey, as well as taking in each picture you presented, think I'm going to do the twist method. Not only that...but your video was the pushed I needed to start my own. Thank you for sharing!
Sis, I absolutely LOVE the thickness and health of your locs! My hair is the same thickness.. My locs im wearing now, my mom🙏🏿🌹 started them.. They're heavy and a few have broken off because of the weight..I just sew them back on and keep it moving!😂👌🏿😂 Thanks for the information and tips!
I have not watched your channel in such a long time but to see your progress over the years is phenomenal!!!! You were part of the reason why I two stand twist my hair and 4 years, a head full of beautiful locs! I am glad I came across your channel when I did! Your locs are gorgeous 😍
You are so beautiful and such an inspiration! Thank you so much for sharing your loc journey. I'm exactly a year and a half into mine. l started in 2020 on my birthday...as a gift to myself. I'm so grateful that my hair is growing looking fuller and that I'm able to keep my length now, as well as retain even more! I'm going to borrow a few of your hair styles too. 😁🤩❤
I was too sad about my curly ends.. I used a staple remover to snatch em aloose 🥴 that led to me snatching more and more of the curls back 🥺💯. I ended up cutting it because I basically ruined them. That was at two years. I'm here because I'm looking for loc extensions insta loc tuts 🥰
Jody Ann???? I was like who is that??!!! All I know is JoMichelle!!! 😂 #Day1 here… I used to watch your natural hair videos, makeup, modeling…. I too was natural for 13 years and this past February I locd my hair and am loving it!!!!!! Thanks for the update!!!!
lol my government name! Google Adsense made me change it for deposits, trying to figure out how to change it back? but if I can’t this will be it! 😂😂 I have a real Jamaican first name lol
I'm in the early stages and I won't lie...I do not like mine at all. My sister in law interlocked mine back in July and they are just ugh to me. I'm trying to be patient though because I know it's a journey. One day I'll love them
I love your locs not only because they are beautiful and suit you so well but I feel like I saw them “grow up”. I’ve been following for years and it’s been awesome to see your hair and life changes! 🤗
Beautiful. I’m in my second year. I definitely notice that my locs are starting to drop and I’m seeing the length now. Your locs are beautiful. I was so skeptical to loc my hair because of negativity and how some people think about locs as unclean and think of like the more ungroomed locs. I’m so glad I locked my hair and your hair is just so inspiring for me to keep going. I love it 😍
They said it was extensions because how much it grew on 3 yrs. I've seen a few ppl's journey but their hair didn't grow as fast in such a short time. I like yours and the way yours are is my goal.
Your Loc’s are beautiful, I also have locks and I love them they are so beautiful and natural yes people talk and say you have extensions they say that about me but if I had extensions I would be proud to say I did have them but I’m sorry I’m all natural nothing added, and I am enjoying my loc journey, this is my third time around, I had Sister Loc’s and this is my second time with traditional loc’s, so this is my last and final hair transformation, I will wear Loc’s from now on. ☮️
You just look so pretty. I thought I was gonna loc my hair which was mid back and permed. Started growing the perm out and cutting it off inches at a time myself and now I'm pretty much natural and hair past collarbone. I got scared to loc it so I did nothing but wear wigs for over a yr. Now my shoulder injured and I can't do nothing and it's been in 2 braids for almost 2 mon untouched. I been asking God, what I'm gone do with my hair, God? In my Ceilie voice.🤣 Today, I heard, comb curl it while looking in mirror which I avoid cause my head a WHOLE mess and I can't even comb it due to shoulder pain and here I am scrolling again. You just look so pretty. I feel like I can do it, too!! I think I can jump off this cliff! I think I can. Scrolling for encouragement to find a stylist to help me. My head and journey should be a lot of fun for whoever I choose. 🤷🏾♀️
Av been struggling with my 2 daughters hair for two years now it's pain full for them nothing changes but after watching this video no more pain for them time for locks thax for this video
You look beautiful! I love your locs. I'm on year 8 and I love it. Best decision of my life. My locs are waist length now. A little hard to manage when I sleep, but overall I love them.
your honesty about your feelings through the first year of the journey is so appreciated! cause I'm dealing with those same feelings with me 2nd set 😩. can't wait until my babies flourish like yours!
This was so inspiring! I've been considering locs for a while, but this is one of the first progress videos that have inspired me to get them! Thank you for making this!
You are so Beautiful from the inside and outside. My loc inspiration can’t wait until I get your length almost 3 years in.😍😍😍😍😍 I just placed a order on your website I will continue to support you God Bless
I know they yours.. I been following you since you started.. I will also be 4 years this coming April, April 13th exact.. We’ll, Congratulations 🎉 on your 4 year & I love your locs.. They are so beautiful 😍.. People a lot think mine are fake plus, my hair is really thin but, they are a lot to my bra strap🤣 but, it is funny when people think your hair is fake🤣🤣.. but, again, Congratulations on 4 years🥳🥳🎉🎉
Love your hair. I’m new to the loc community, I’m 1 month in with 1 retwist, and trying to learn all I can. I have a loctition but plan to do them myself eventually as they mature.
I just did the whole big chop again and I'm thinking about loc'ing up this time around. Plus, my daughter has locs lol so it's time for me to join the loc team😁
Your hair and you are simply gorgeous! I am so excited to say. I start my loc journey tomorrow 12/31/21. Looking at all of these beautiful looks I see out and on social, I know I’m making the right decision and can’t wait to go through each unique stage! Thanks for sharing. I plan on making a jewelry purchase today!☺️
