That is going to be so much better, nice short pipe runs, and the circulation will be good, sending all the crap to the bottom drain, if you have ever stired up a bucket of water with a few grains of sand in it, the sand always goes to the centre, so your pond will vortex in the same way now, it will be super, best wishes, Tony😀

Very neat and tidy pipe work, no such thing as overkill with ball valves.

Pipe work looking nice and tidy can never have too many valves those old valves you've got with pipe glued in I could salvage them for you on the lathe at work just give me a call if you want them doing
