This video is bringing back so many memories for me. This was the walk I did on my last day on the Camino in 2019 a few weeks after you. I got a job offer and went home early, and I'm dying to be back there.
Sadly, Najera was the end of my camino in April 2018. Unfortunately had to make my way to Bilbao next day and fly home to Ireland. It was to be my fourth and last camino. Maybe someday I will go back. Love following your pilgrimage, makes me feel like I am back and for a little while, the withdrawal symptoms go away
Thank you so much for following along! 😊🙏 I hope you will make it back to the Camino one day and I’m glad you had a chance to experience it so many times! What treasures. 👣❤️
Amazing & Glorious video Rachelle! My wife, myself, and our 2 children (18 & 21) are planning to walk the Camino next May/June. Please pray for my wife, who has cancer, but is determined to get to Spain and walk the Camino. Stunning church - I hope we get to see it when we're there.
Praying for healing and strength for your wife! What an amazing journey you will be making as a family. Keeping you all close to my heart. Buen Camino! 🙏👣
So I'm watching your Camino a day at a time, one episode per day, so I can savor each one. Today, I'm on this one, day 10. I see you just posted a stay at Samos, and I'm very excited to see that as I've yet to see a vlog from someone who stayed there. As I said before, you do a great job of showing things other vloggers haven't. I like the spiritual aspect of your Camino as well. Very well done and interesting. Thanks for posting.
I stayed in this same albergue in Najare and the same one in Navarrete too. The same room on Navarrete I think! I remember well the cute garden space at the back of the Nájera albergue. I washed my clothes in a bucket using the hosepipe provided! It had a nozzle with a trigger. There’s a photo of me doing that in my stash. I probably Facebooked it with a caption saying ‘high tech washing facilities on the Camino’!
I purchased kinesiology tape from a local farmacia. It was extremely helpful and only used it for a week while my ankle recovered. Be sure to look up how to apply it (youtube videos were helpful), as the degree of tension and placement of the tape is specific to the injury. Since I much of it leftover, I did use small pieces to avoid hotspots for blister prevention.
