That was a good plan. We’ve had some really fierce thunderstorms in this area. That challenging climb looked familiar to me. Was it right after crossing the Lehigh River? I remember doing it on a warm day in the afternoon. Having the sun on my back added to the difficulty. I sure was happy to get to the top. I hope you have a pleasant evening at Mary Poppins’ place.

The dog treat fishhooks were found a few days before federal and state authorities confiscated a homeless guys stuff living in the GWOB shelter. A shelter which has bear warnings posted on the interior. I slept a night there after he was removed and saw no bears… pretty easy to see what happened.

Been casually watching your channel from the start of your hike. Can’t believe you’ve made it this far already! Almost to my home state of NY. Perhaps you are already here. You are looking great and putting in some serious work out there. I just went camping in Baxter State Park, first time seeing Katahdin. It is still there waiting for you, majestic as hell.
