Beautiful video! This is surely Gods Country! I loved the waterfall and that swimming hole!! Keep safe you are so close to the finish line! 🥾🏕️🙏🧗♀️🇺🇸☂️💦💦
It must be "thought provoking" to meet those southbounders who are just starting their adventure, while you are nearing the finish of yours. If any of them ask you for advice, memories of the 2000+ miles that you have hiked must re-play in your mind, which I think is a good thing. You did great on this rainy 19 mile wilderness Day 3. Rain! Once there was a viking named Rudolf the Red. He looked outside and proclaimed it was going to rain. His wife asked him, "What makes you say that?" He replied, "Rudolf the Red knows rain, dear."🙂
I was really kinda surprised the dangers associated with hiking to the top of Katahdin. As a kid I always loved dangerous stuff, but but was always shut down and forbidden by some higher authority. But when Zeb and I were boulder scrambling over 5000 ft up watching every step in sideways rain, there was nobody in sight to say your not allowed, or a sign saying I was to short to ride this ride. You truly are on your own, just you and the no merciful nature. I had a good time and I’m sure you will to. Good luck and have fun.
This is all so exciting! That Cooper Brook was a productive brook trout stream for me at the end of my thru hike in '90. I carried my pack rod in the HMW but in retrospect wish I had had it thru the whole state of Maine.
