Thank you Kanoe for your dedication to this Bible Study! I finally had time to catch up and am on track. I was looking at the John MacArthur commentary on 1 Kings 1: 2-4 and in his commentary he notes, I'm paraphrasing - That King David actually had a circulatory issue & had trouble keeping his body warm. His royal staff proposed the young virgin to watch over him at night & warm him with her body heat. MacArthur notes that this was the medical customs during those times and references Jewish historian Josephus (1st century) & Greek physician Galen (2nd century) who both recorded such practices. I thought it was an interesting fact when I read it because initially I thought the same as you. Thank you again for encouraging me to stay in His Word. You really ignited a flame in me to further my relationship with the Lord, so much so that I even applied to seminary school today!

I am subscribed, notifications on and always hit that like button for each and every video or community post and try to not hit the skip button on the ads either to show as much support as possible for the ministry. I know people who won’t start a RU-vid account because they don’t have and don’t want a Gmail account. That really holds back a lot of viewers from taking that extra step of support. You are right -once saved, not ALWAYS saved. When people choose to willfully let go of Gods hand & choose to continually live in sin, they are in a back slidden state. That's not saying they can't repent & come back to the Lord. Praise God for his forgiveness and mercy & grace. ❤

Todays message was powerfully on time as always. There is no doubt in my mind that God speaks through Kanoe and is a blessing given to so many on our spiritual journeys.Because of the power of today’s blessing, it left me with some questions that I could use some answers to perhaps somebody could help. The first question I have is in the Bible so many people wish for others ill fate wish death wish punishment wish vengeance through God on their enemies. I cannot bring myself to do that. I don’t wish ill on my enemies and I don’t wish for somebody to die because they’ve hurt me. Am I wrong? The other part of it is when Kanoe talked about waiting the comment was made that that doesn’t mean go to bed and I’m confused. Could I get some clarification? Personally I suffer with Epstein Barr chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia so I find myself in bed many times and require more sleep than most Is that a problem and am I doing a disservice to God?

I think we have to be really careful when saying once saved not always saved. IThat can put a lot of focus on works. If we believe God can save us and does but then we have to keep earning it, doest that kinda say we dont believe what Jesus did was enough? kes salvation away from us because we didn't change enough? Jesus paid the price that we couldn't pay. stipulations that's kind of saying we don't believe that what he did and promised were enough. Look at the thief on the cross. He did not live long enough after his acceptance of Jesus to show any length of change. How do we know he is heaven? Because Jesus said so. God says and his words are true, that he loved us so much that he sent his son to die for our sins. And if we believe in him, we will have everlasting life. So I have faith that his words are true. If we start looking for real change in someone, many will be fooled.

There is only one sin mentioned that is unforgivable. In Matthew 12: 31-32, that sin is the complete willing rejection of the Holy Spirit, and that can happen with someone who once gave their life to Jesus and has decided to reject the faith. We are saved the moment we give our life to Jesus, but from that moment on if we continue to seek Him daily, the Holy Spirit begins the process of sanctification; being transformed to be more like Jesus. it is not something that happens overnight. Wouldn't that be nice?🙂 Jesus also mentioned that you will know them by their fruit, which can only happen if someone allows the Holy Spirit to guide them. Jesus said if we love Him, we will obey and follow His commands. Our love for Him makes us want to obey and produce that fruit for Him.
