OH MY GOODNESS!!!! That looks like pure torture!!! I am in Awe of your accomplishment!!! 💪💪💪💪💪19 miles through that torture spot🥹😱 I PRAY YOU GOT SOME MUCH DESERVED REST AFTER THAT🥰🥰
19 miles in the Whites…. that is really impressive. I have followed SweetPotato all along. You two are traversing an area where others are skipping or bailing. No judgment at all to any of them, I just hope that you gave each other a huge hug and tap on the back…’cause that sh*t is real!! Be safe wherever you are. Poles safely down! Prayers for you and your’s…..✌️🙂💚
I hope, before too long, memories of this day's pain will be fuzzy. (Kind of like what happens after childbirth. 🤣) Congrats to both of you on hanging in there. 7,000 feet of descent! Yeeesh! 😳 SO IMPRESSIVE!!!
What a horrible day - the mud & the rocks… Rockslyvania & Vermud!!! You guys killed it!!! I feel like your mom, I’m just so proud of you guys for your endurance, your perseverance and your bravery!!! You two together can conquer anything in this life!!! 😃
Praying for Chuck’s father and the entire family. We just rewatched your days 0-4 videos. You were anxious to get trails names. Unless I’m mistaken, you still do not. Well, how about George and Gracie. You seem to have the same love for each other that they had. Also, we looked up your tattoo coordinates - Nags Head, SC. Nice place.
We do have trail names! I just don’t use them in the videos haha. Chuck’s name is a mouthful - he’s One Hit Wonder. And I’m Yard Sale! And yep! Our coordinates are Nags Head! We have different coordinates on the other wrist though too 😉
I have heard the story of the Hills. Their story was considered by some to be strangely credible. I think it was because they were an interracial couple who, for obvious reasons, would not have wanted to draw undue attention to themselves at that time (1961). But they did tell their story, and told it consistently. I guess people thought, "Why would they make something like this up?" It's an interesting story. Sorry you had such a horrible day. Descents with big rock step downs are my nemesis. I would have been crying.
hey guys, candy man here, the descent of Mt Moosilauke going NOBO is considered by many as the very worst part of the whole AT, on top of that, you did it, in an exceptional wet year, yes it might be humbling, but you can be proud. It is hard to the point that most dayhikers will do it SOBO. so congrats you made it. The worst of the Whites is already behind you.
Hey , do they not allow you to charge or use the outlet at the huts ? I understand there VERY STRICT ! Quadzilla just did a rant on those huts that are run by the AMC , and said there very stern and expensive and not accommodating. Soo do they not allow charging if you do not pay big $$$$ ?
@@grantjordan4672I don’t think there’s a place to charge even if you pay. I didn’t see any at least. We got trail magic via some bunks from a group of guys that had cancelations in their party. They told the AMC croo to give them to thru hikers so we got lucky there. Then we did a work for stay at another hut. Neither had places to charge devices that I saw. But yea, they are definitely very expensive. I have mixed feelings about the huts 🙃
Have you tried instant coffee blended into Essentials for breakfast? You are in an area where 8 to 10 mile days are normal. Its tough. Short steps on descent to make it easier on your knees. Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick
Slipped on a wet rock while talking the camera and no $#@#$%%, impressive! That was some serious downhilling y'all had to do today! It made my Steve Austin replacement knee ache just watching it.
I hope you guys got a motel this night cause you needed it! It also amazes me that thru hikers can walk in this kind of terrain for months and not get seriously injured at some point. Pretty freaking amazing.
@@heather__hikes something about her leg, I didn’t catch all of it, I don’t follow her but knew about her at the beginning so wanted to see if she was on trail.
