I honestly never found lock picking that difficult, I still use the default setting instead of simplified

You can also cure Merhojed alone and get an achievment for it. But you need to investigate properly on site at the moment and cook that potion yourself immediately, because they start dying pretty soon and Nikodemus is not fast enough due to other tasks he is performing. Like Henry said in DLC - "sometimes I get the feeling nothing ever happens if I am not there" :D

It's also very important to learn defense and master-strikes, though the game could do better job at leading you to it

"Robert Baratheon build" is the best and really good looking as well. Skalitz shield from Theresa, dog companion, mace and later a warhammer and with some caution you just kill anyone. It is also a good way of playing for merciful - you take that 1hp strike mace, boost "sadist" perk any when they bleed out, it doesn´t count. Same as lame arrows with poison on them - they won´t kill them, but the poison finished then and Henry still got 0 kills :D Archery is a great thing here, too. I remember a small Cuman camp near the stream in Talmberk volley, where I was dressed in black on the hill above and needed to lure them out (to be able to run them over with horse, another way of killing on merciful without scoring a "kill" in stats, btw). I was shooting bad arrows from a longbow down there and around them. After around 10-15 small hits or near misses they just panicked and some of them ran away :D

It's bad decisions on top of bad decisions, the one fight he shows to say that groups fights suck, he walks into 4 people spamming left click until he is out of stamina; Complains about alchemy being too hard but never bothers to learn how to read; Complains about combat taking to long but never trains or upgrades his equipment; This guy has no patience.

That description should add "but still you won´t feel it being a wasted time". I know people who simply loves walking through the forests there, pich mushrooms, hunt, find secret places etc. without worrying much about need for constant fights of enemies, some of which would be artificially articulated on better level then you aka in Witcher 3. Don´t take me wrong, W3 is a great game, but travelling there is often quite annoying and if you like to wander and explore, you may easily hit zones with "too high level for you" with same enemies you encountered before, they even look the same but for some reason you are suddenly in "wider circle" and those wild wolfs will kill you like nothing, because "levels". And playing W3 AFTER I played KCD (bought new pc for KCD) really didn´t served that game well.

I love it as well and can't wait to play the sequel!

Hard to watch

I didn't bother. I got 3 bad endings to it so I said fuck it and slaughtered everyone. You don't get a penalty if no one sees, and they wont know for a long time since nobody is allowed in or out of the monastery lol.

Bruhhhh there’s like 3 ways to finish the quest when you have the option to not make the potion by yourself the nico dude will do it for you and he will ask you to investigate the plague a bit and he will automatically make the potion You can try training how to lock pick with peschak the treasa dad You can try learning how to read in the many many scribe in every town Or you can give the wrong potion on purpose and kill half the village taking the keys (I think I played 2 play through like 2 years ago I may be forgor) @Voiy

That is a third way of doing it. Or fourth, because you can get there at night, when he is not guarded, pick the lock and actually talk to him :D Cure yourself or let Nicodemus do it are the first two. Love this game, so many option and they all work!

And if you take a break, you suck again so retraining might be necessary lol not the realism we expected in this game

2) Automatic lockon you can switch off and on with keybind, no problem in that. Look up settings (it was Tab I think?). 1) Feints are not there, but I do not feel like I need them. Master strikes, riposts or simple use of defense/attack keys with multiple direction for it to come from; also kick and other stuff is enough for me.

You are NOT meant to fight more enemies at once ;) That is the key. Though you can later in the game when you have some practise, but still it is not advisable, numbers wins. That´s why you have tools to help you reduce you enemy count to lower numbers (and to zero many times): - bow - stealth - horse - dog - poison - bleeding Each of these can kill/finish enemies without you needing to be "in" the fight. Just like ride a horse with bow, stop, shoot in the face, drive away, ... shoot again etc. Even when on foot, a good shield with mace/hammer will help you a ton with defense. But you are not batman, you cannot fight 4-5 enemies at once, no real warrior can, that is how you get killed fast. You either uses terrain, obstacles and such, or you simply do not engage. To remind you - this whole game is built in a way you do not have to kill anyone in the main quest (except one guy midgame) and there is an achievment for it even. And there are tons of ways to knock out enemies, good horse+speed being the fastest one imho (and safest for merciful achiev, horse doesn´t count :D). Just ask if you have any questions ;)

Sadly noone. WH are working on something and were hiring, but no official info yet about what it is. Only shorts from interviews with Dan Vávra like "what will you do next as a game" and response" I won´t tell you, but given we have built and upgraded an engine for medieval rpg, it probable won´t be a strategy in space" etc. And in one interview Dan Vávra referred to KCD as "in first KCD" ("v jedniččce" he told exactly), which implies there will be more in the future, because otherwise there would be no need for numbering them like this, right? But official new, none.

@@siriusczech I got obsessed with the game and started watching every video about it and it looks like we're 99% getting a sequel or at least a similar game. they like to keep things secretive for some reason but with all the hints here and there it looks like we're only a couple years away from their future game :)

Practice lock picking untill you get enough skill points that you get the "Lucky Drunk" perk, have a sip of wine, now you can pick the hardest locks. Break into the armor smith in Rattay at night from the upstairs back door, steal a set of full plate armor and a ton of coins. Go see Bernard and practice with him for like 30 minutes, leaving the stolen armor in your chest for a couple of ingame days, so it doesnt appear as stolen anymore. Do some quests. Return to Bernard and ask him to teach you master strikes (Riposte). Then get a mace. Now, the game is on easy mode and you'll only ever be troubled by 3+ enemies in full plate, and even those you can just walk backwards while master-striking (parrying at the perfect time) until theyre all dead.

Yes. Always on Xbox store these days at a tenner or less for the royal edition (all dlc) I spot it on sale pretty frequently these days, no point paying full price when every 2 months you could see it cheap. Saw it for £6 earlier this year standard edition. I bought it for 9.99 last year royal edition. I might have regretted paying full price for it but the sale cost was acceptable

3 guys at the same time? That is no big deal if you do not walk there like "hello, come on all at once!". You are not meant to kill everyone when greatly outnumbered (and 1v3 is bad), that is not how combat works irl ;) You need to be able to take different approaches for this. Use horse, dog, bow, stealth ... anything. Everyone must sleep at night (escept night guards etc.), stealth is good at night, good warhorse can ride over enemies and deal huge blows to them just with the hit etc. You are not meant to walk straight in the middle of enemies and kill them with one huge blow of sword/magic. You are noob blacksmith´s son who is not ill, but definitely not skilled. You learn as well as he learns. Mind this if you will give it one more try. And, btw, fighting training with Bernard (Rattay) and Bořek (Talmberk) are really worth it

@@nighttripper1432 That is the most precious thing about this game - multiple choices and ways of quests. For example - lets take a main quest of "hunting with Hans Capon", pretty early in the game. The quests slightly differs based on you having a horse already or not having one, but after that hunting Hans run info Cumans and is captured. There are two Cumans guarding him and if you played normally, they are usually better equipped and trained than peassant Henry. Direct fight is not the best option in that case. But you need to get him out. Somehow. Possibilities? 1) Man up and fight and load every time you die. Once it will go through. Boring, bad option. 2) Fight 1v1. Use "x" key on pc to whistle and lure one (or both?) cumans from Hans and either kill that one coming after you, or go around and free Hans while they are a little away 3) Use bow and arrow - if you were good in hunting, cumans are good prey, too. Headshot with arrow will stop even a grown man and even not-that-good-archer Henry will need only about 2-3 arrows for each of them. You can as well use arrow for luring them out, if you shoot near some npc, they will go for inspection. Later in the game you can wreak havoc and panic if you shoot them multiple times and they won´t be able to find you (combination with perk "cuman slayer"). 4) Use stealth. If you will wait for the evening/night, darkness will boost your stealth. Get down all metal gear for maximum effect (yeah, it matters, see immediate stats in inventory) and go for it. Easier way is to just free stealthily Hans Capon and run before they notice. More fun (and rewarding) is going in around 2-6 am, get to anyone sleeping, choke him and then headshot him with arrow from 1m to secure silent kill. Repeat on other 1-2 who is there. Loot bodies for food and usable gear, loot chests and crates, eat whatever you can and go help Hans Capon. 5) Last option might be (though I am not sure of it) to go to Talmberk and ask for help soldiers there. It definitely works at Neuhof massacre later in the story, when it would be hard to investigate those two bandits without killing them on "merciful" achievment playthrough, but you can ask Bernard and they will help you "clean" the forest. Might work here as well, though I haven´t tried it. Give KCD a go with these knowledge. There is ALWAYS another way, sometimes longer, sometimes shorter, but there are almost 0 missions with only single playthrough (few key story parts are exceptions). Think about what would MAKE SENSE if you were there, not how other games works with OP heroes. Yes, about 1/3 of the whole game through you will have a task to investigate (and, if possible, weaken) a bandit camp with approx 20-30 members in it and you can do it from range, in disguise or end up in killing them all and THEN destroying all arrows, poison all water and so on. Killing everyone will not matter for the conquering mission afterwards (they respawn), other effects will, but you would be able to do so by using stealth and other mechanics of the game for you and you AS A PLAYER will become a better scout/ranger alongside Henry. Because that is what the game really is doing the whole time. You develop a character AND yourself at the same time - being it lockpicking, fighting, stealing, hunting or alchemy. You level up and your controls gets less shaky, attacks faster, bow zooms a little on targets and better bows have flatter curves and so on. And you learn with Henry. Best RPG ever. Sadly, some people do not understand this and are expecting another "chosen one" who will be slaying tons of enemies unless they are bosses. That is not a case with KCD

@@siriusczech Well I understand playing as a regular person and not an overpowered hero but the combat system isn't realistic, it's really clunky so it beats the purpose of making a realistic game. Also Im 26 but the older I get the more I get annoyed by games that are really hard. I play to relax and have fun and if a game is bringing me to the point where Im screaming at my TV maybe it's time to not play it anymore

@@nighttripper1432 I bought a new gaming laptop because of KCD when it came out - at the ahe of 26 😉 I hate random shit and things artificially, unpredictably and annoyingly hard. Like wandering in wrong zone in W3 and get oneshotted by an arrow 😀 KCD on the other hand has firm set of rules and they work. All the tíme. It takes some time to learn them (player alongside the character), but once I know and learned, huge satisfaction and joy comes in. Still you can avoid fight the whole game, no problem 😉
