Testimony continues for a second day in the Karen Read murder trial with the cross-examination of Canton police officer Steve Saraf. Read is accused of hitting and killing her Boston police officer boyfriend, John O'Keefe, with her SUV.
I’ve never in my life heard of a judge that doesn’t want to hear the grounds for any objections and that is SO unbelievably biased. Can’t believe this level of blatant corruption exists in America.
Yes, because in terms of appeal it’s going to be impossible to know if Lally objected on hearsay grounds but she sustained on relevance grounds. It’s a big mess, in the Depp V. Heard case Judge Ascarotti did it perfectly: “Objection, Hearsay” -“Overruled on hearsay” -“Okay objection relevance ?” -“sustained” (that’s a good Judge).
@I_DontRemember I completely agree! And even previously the judge getting annoyed hearing the defense express their concerns with the request for evidence to be given to defense to review and judge not only gets annoyed but she then continued to cut him off. I cannot believe that she is still a judge in this case known to be close friends with The officers trying to frame Karen Read 🤯🤯🤔🤦🏻♀️🤥
Why is it that cops can answer as many times as they want “I don’t recall” but once anyone else does it’s unacceptable? Horrible “justice” system we have. I hope she’s found not guilty and sues the 💩 out of them all.
I understood that the basement was totally done over floor and all before they sold the house in the swimming pool was filled in. I want to know who the contractors were was anything unusual in that basement and what was in the pool before it was filled in and why
Bingo ! Yess soo many fill in blanks and minutes cut on video surveillance from Canton library when they sent original one VS the one Canton police sent to prosecutors alot cut police reports no ring cams around neighborhood that was working. The Alberts got rid of the family dog of 6 or 7 years to Vermont, removed the basement floors within months of death of him, sold the house for less then 50k than the price it was worth.
@@diana57799-why is selling the house and removing the dog an issue? There was no canine DNA found on JOKs arm wounds or clothing. That's because his wounds were caused by Karen Read's vehicle. And what point are you insinuating by saying the house was sold???
No one in the house including cop that lived there did not come outside to render CPR or first aid. Shameful! And no one reported hearing the dog bark. All BS.
So an investigation starts from ththe inside out…. The spot of the crime is your first place unless there is bias, to go straight to the girlfriends house who was the only one providing life saving measures, that’s completely out of the box of normal investigative measures. There had to have been prior knowledge of something. On top of all Of the other inconsistencies SO FAR we’ve not even made it to the good parts I cant believe a grand jury indicted this. It’s only bc it was an officer involved. Any other victim would not have gotten the person indicted but because other officers testified they believed them. I have many law enforcement family members so I’m not bias towards all there’s bad apples everywhere
The judge is being so unprofessional and keeps loudly sighing anytime the defense questions witnesses. She also keeps siding with prosecution and blocking the defense from asking questions.
You know I did hear that sighing as well. I thought that was the attorney. I did not believe it was a judge, but I could be wrong, but I have not heard that since, but I’m glad somebody else knows that as well is very, very noticeable the judges demeanor she really seems right on top of it, the Attorney is in the top so she’s doing what she needs to do overall since then I think she has some that the attorney defense attorney often asked the question knowing that will be it will not be allowed to be answered but that still important not everyone understands that was so important because of jury Kent on here the question so good defense attorneys like this guy will many questions very pointed like a little seeds of doubt that they try to plant in addition to the other work but he’s a spot on the judges as well. I think she’s tired at times kind of like a marathon defense on their game, any curious to think what you thought since that day
No one searched that house!! What a bunch of BS!! If someone was found on my property…. And I knew him….They certainly would have searched my residence…. Wow!!! Unbelievable!! And they couldn’t seem to get the address # correct??? 🤔 Well that’s weird!
They canton police have to halt any further investigation if there’s a homicide and defer to the state police, which they did go in the house. They just aren’t there yet in the trial. I am not sure why that wasn’t brought up though in the testimonies
What's obvious is the lawyer is trying to lead people like you on the jury to think what you're thinking. Hopefully somebody on the jury can think critically so we can arrive at some truth.
That’s because they have proven to be incompetent and also dishonest trying to help hide the fact a corrupt department continues to get caught tampering with evidence
How do you find a body in the front yard and think it is appropriate to not search a property too? That’s a little crazy to be a cop and be good with that answer
It's not that the judge favors the prosecution, IMHO. It's the fact that this nutball defense lawyer is going into WAY too much detail like having the witness describe an endotrachial tube or vent mask. I'm annoyed too.
I heard the cop say “what happened” & I heard Karen say “I left him, and he never came home”. I’m listening to third hand devices. Cops dashcam to the courts overhead to my phone…
Was Johnny wearing a jumper or jacket leaving the bar? No one has brought this up? It's bloody cold .... If he left the bar with proper clothing how did he end up with scratches on his arms!! The defence or prosecution hasn't discussed this, why not?
I still don't think those are scratches, they're contusions, bruises, from having heavy weight roll across his arm, tire indentations, imo. Blood seeps through the pores. They're common in hit and run accidents. That's what they look like to me ...
@@pattibarnett1142his arm would be shattered for sure if it was tire imprints. And also I assume whatever clothes he does have on have to have marks /tears
Watch this as the Masterclass it is in linguistic surgery and how this logic and linguistic surgeon is able to control the narrative AND questions. Pay attention to the way he uses his voice how quickly he tries to get answers trying to either get agreement or point errors by individuals questioning as opposed to the prosecution those attorneys which individual prosecuting attorneys or the defense attorneys to you is the top gun in this room today ? in defense dissecting witnesses. D-atty also had Canton PD Dtx & Ofcrs appearing to be lackadaisical in their constitution. Matter of fact, ambulance driver appeared better, equipped, even though officers most likely testified more frequently, so it would be more experienced. Not exactly a focused, determined group of individuals taking police work i.e. their jobs as critically important to others, including victim and individual charged. One gets the sense at times minimum wage workers could have produced better report that night. Finally, pay attention to the questions D Attorney asked which she knew were going to be objected to and sustained. Purposely pay attention because it happens so quickly if you’re a most likely, you are not hearing the prosecution objection to your question and the judges sustaining of your objection so, as a jury, you are most likely hearing that question intentionally asked by the defense attorney that it would be objected to by prosecution and even though it wouldn’t be overruled, the jury would still be hearing what you want them to hear. This is critically important. This is a beautiful tactic and I’m surprised the judge. She has been very quick to rule she has not seen the pattern and sidebar the attorneys over to put on notice. Very intentional questions to get evidence in to plant into the juries, mine ears brain highly unlikely remember the sustained objections brilliant attorney work also not who has control of each and every individual testify which attorney is the defense attorney or is it the prosecution? In my opinion, the prosecution does not know how to tell a story and I believe the jurors are likely picking up on that fact. Even if you never practice law or go in front of a judge, this kind of a case, it is a wonderfully beautiful to witness. An excellent surgeon might say surgeon of linguistics a surgeon of fact, a surgeon of opinion all to influence the decision opinion and decision of those who sit in judgment. Masterful & beautiful work.
Why wasn't the house searched because it's the home of a police officer. All the police officers involved already had their suspect start in their eyes so they weren't going to investigate they were just going through the Motions to make it look good that they showed up at the scene
This judge is so blatantly biased in favor of the prosecution that i dont know how Karen Read can get a fair trial..i hope she is sanctioned as soon as this trial concludes!..
Shock is a medical term. Karen wasn't in the kind of shock caused by allergy or blood loss. Paramedics don't get to diagnose a bystander's mental condition. They only get to describe behaviors and symptoms, and they were busy with the victim, not Karen.
So the people whose house it was, and their cronies, never came out of the house to render first aid, yet they were all first responders, these people are heartless and possibly killers! They are all beyond disgusting horrible people.
What’s sad is even if there is an honest cop within a group of corrupt cops…that innocent man will go along with whatever to protect himself and his livelihood out of fear of serious retaliation. Thus the cycle of corruption continue goes on and on. That corruption often goes through the ranks to protect their own. I’m just sharing a thought and not speaking directly to this case as I’m just starting to listen to it. Whatever the truth may be, I pray that God has his hand on this case and the truth can’t be hidden.
We’ve seen what’s happening to trump so it should suprise me that this is happening but I’m still shocked if she’s found guilty then you know the jury was tampered too
I find the Judge’s audible exhalations w defense during cross disgusting. She doesn’t do this w Lally who is frustrating bc can’t be heard; during monotonous, repetitive questions like first year trial attorney. I don’t care which “one side” she does this for, it’s blatant bias. It’s clear her face during these gasps of frustration would change as well. All of this animus towards one side could sway a jury during a trial in and of itself. I hope someone lets her know to stop or that combined w rulings which seem quite often one sided, doesn’t show her as a fair judge calling balls and strikes. WOW!
The Judge sighs really loudly as the defense attorney continues to make us listen to things we can’t hear. Cracks me up. It’s like everyone forgot their vitamins. 😮
I guess we should be surprised & possibly even horrified that John as a deceased police officer has been treated unfairly. I’ve actually heard through rumour that the Boston Police are notoriously known for cover-ups! I’m gathering from the complete lack of professional protocol being followed; that it’s all about rank and who’s your buddy.
Never seen such a TINY, bizarre layout courtroom, where the defendant is forced to be a few feet away from hostile ppl. Even WORSE, some of the jury members literally CANNOT see the witnesses testifying! They also have difficulty seeing the small screen & hearing. This preliminary hearing was held in a large courtroom, is it not available????!!
Nuttall us VERY nervous on the stand. Shaky voice for a firefighter /ems personnel. Over talking his resume, no one understands his high pitched shaky Boston accent its very choppy listening to him
Well if he makes a mistake or a slight change in detail this lawyer is going to pounce on him as a liar. It's been a few years since the incident and these guys have been involved in many incidents since. Why wouldn't he ask to read the record before testifying?
😂😂 she's not going to say "I hit him" what a joke question. These Lawyers 🙄 how about did you do something to him & then pour water on him & he froze? Shes guilty & a horrible person her & her friend. Who the hell would look up what she looked up on her phone 🤔....
Not only r they(lying thru their)teeth;)Omg how he blatantly lie consistently(are u sure this man's a cop)This is insane,really wild*lmagine if there's no dash-cam,ridiculous*
Every time the defense attorneys its third turn to ask questions and it's dumb I'm sorry at this point don't judge keeps interrupting them they have the right to ask questions and she's constantly say refreeze sustained or ask the question again or move on I don't know cuz this is only a girl's life I'm on always going to believe she did not do it from day one two and a half years ago when I watched her back up and hit John's car in the driveway that's how she cracked her tail light not at the scene of this accident
Didn't she admit to running him over with her SUV? Why, oh why are most comments saying she is innocent? I can't see how they are reach such a loonie conclusion. 🤔
She never admitted to anyone about "running" him over A couple first responders said they heard her say , I hit him. Could I have hit him etc..but none of that was on.record. it got brought up once trial was starting. There are So many inconsistencies here.
I’m firm believer of waiting for the trial to show all of the evidence, but the fact that she admitted to hitting him and that she wanted to take her life speaks volumes!! Not to mention the fact that when she backed out of her driveway she intentionally hit John’s car…she was a heavy drinker and I don’t even think she realized what had happened. I will definitely be locked in to watch the outcome!
Did you not hear multiple people having different accounts of exactly what she said? And did you not hear the job that the officers did in investigating this whole case? Maybe she frantically thought that it was a possibility that maybe she hit him. Maybe she was panicking because she thought she actually hit him…. Certainly does not mean it was on purpose. So maybe she did say it. Or maybe she said, did I hit him? ! The point is, once officers heard that she said something to that effect, they jumped on it and all of a sudden, they have their suspect.. They certainly had nothing else to go on, because they didn’t investigate anything or anyone else. Have you ever seen traffic stops when one officer pulls over another law-enforcement officer, and how crappy of an investigation they do. And do you know why that is? It is so the intoxicated driver does not get in trouble and The officer conducting the traffic stop, can claim ignorance. Evidence is on a fine timeline. So they do a bad job, complete the traffic stop or in this case, open the crime scene,… there’s no going back. No evidence will be preserved, and there is no way to go back in time and prove a person’s guilt. They get off. Not sure if they are framing Karen Read or not, but they certainly didnt do anything to find out what really happened or whether this person is someone that deserves to spend the rest of her life in prison.
@@justicefor-all3129They had no real reason to investigate because it looked like a motor vehicle accident and they had someone at the scene asking if, or saying, she hit him.
Defense team is already kicking but I don't believe she's guilty and at the end of the day she could have said this is all my fault because she left him there I mean she's fighting for her life right now in a few weeks if she was feeling guilty her life would be done there's no way she's not guilty I don't understand if she backed into him he wouldn't make sense if you get out of the passenger side you're going to get out and walk straight not behind the car 🚗🚨
This case just bothers me because it's hard to get to the truth when we see so many people or I should say I see and not speak for other people get on the stand and not telling the truth
KR knew he was dead @ 620am……that’s why she attempted to ‘save his life’🙄🙄🙄….. defense attorney is obnoxious with his tone & attitude…..which always means defendant is GUILTY
She did it. Hell Hath no Fury as a Woman Scorned. I don't think she did it on purpose. She thought he would get up and go inside. She panics hours later when she can't reach him. He's found in the snow. "I hit him, I hit him".
This judge is bias and unprofessional. Also the lead investigator is being investigated by the FBI and is still on the case and it’s not allowed in the trial…. That’s bs this is a persons LIFE if someone dies from a police shooting they take the person off duty at least for a moment. And that person is already dead so no more damage can be done…. In this case damage is still being done
AND A women goes into the house yet this clown doesnt go inside to see what they find in there another dead body maybe- a police officers house and the tenants the cop does not come out. Why?
So the people whose house it was, and their cronies, never came out of the house to render first aid, yet they were all first responders, these people are heartless and possibly killers! They are all beyond disgusting horrible people.
Could it be possible that the front door was locked or someone took him around the back at the time the dog was let out to pee. If the dog attacked JO and he protected himself and beat the dog causing Colin or Brian Sr. To fight unexpectedly killing JO by accident. Or the black eyes caused from being hit by a shovel in the face?
