OSPF is a link-state routing protocol . In OSPF for best path selection we use Cost if want want path manipulation in OSPF network then you have to change cost when cost is lower then it will consider as a best path . OSPF works according to Area there is backbone area and regular area Area 0 is Backbone area and Area 1,2,3,4,5 etc are regular Area's . There is ABR and ASBR Router When we connect Regular Area with Backbone Area there is one router having connection with both area is called ABR ( Area Border Router ) .....
