July 05, 2022 - This video contains all moments when the bird was bringing food to the newly born chick. Food included all sorts of bugs and different worms. The longer earthworms were chopped by the bird first.
This is what I am afraid too. Not a crow but a magpie, as magpies are patrolling the area from time to time. Last year a magpie pulled out the only chick in the last clutch. But I am afraid magpies can get to the nest despite anything you do they are quite smart and observant.
I'm a little afraid the chick won't poop enough for the mother to keep feeding it, I don't know if that's why she stopped feeding the other chicks the other time, but worry
@@alexanderup6095 well, let’s see if it happens. But I blocked the way up to the ledge and removed some stuff which was leaning to the walls of the shed. So the cat will have to try harder and I hope it can only be an innocent visit from now on :)
The digestion is going to be slower because she is working alone and has to get all the food and not just sitting on the little chick to keep it warm and active
@@shannonspage9360 I am still wondering why she is taking care of the chicks all alone if the information available on this birds say that both partner should feed and so on…
