Oh I was so happy that I saw your video actually I was also re started to play an instrument like guitar just recently I used to play it when I was a teen but I was found it so hard to learn in addition I do not had my own instrument so I couldn't practice just like my other friends do. So after 24 years i I try to play it again and to be learn from the basics knowing the cords and how to strum and how to make a first song to play! I hope this time I can make it and never get tired to learn
@@The-Labbed-Life yes but honestly it's much more harder than I think haha coz the muscle of my finger was not that flexible, But on a process I learn how to play Barre cords now, hahaha maybe I can make it to play a song sooner
What’s your goal? What does it mean to you to “learn guitar”? Does it mean “to play Bob Dylan songs”? Does it mean to “play guitar in a Jazz band”? Does it mean to “play Classical guitar and read standard notation”. If you went to The Berklee School of Music would you expect all your classes to be “not boring”? Watching the Three Stooges on TV is “not boring” but it won’t help you get ahead in life. How “boring” learning something is is not the most important thing in my opinion. Will it help you advance is more important.
@@FlaschDJ True, depending on your goal there are various methods. This is the boring one. I actually admire people who can do it this way, I know I couldn't. But it's still boring. It's like learning a language by going straight into grammar and doing that for a full year before you engage in conversation. In one way, this is the right way to learn the basics and not have to come back to them and correct bad habits or fill missing information. On the other hand it kills your artistic freedom.
I've been playing guitar for many years now and seeing this video made me want to practice what she is doing here, even if it is boring. As @FlaschDJ says, there are many meanings to "learn guitar". And if she manages to keep going with this "boring" practice, she might be able to "leargn guitar" better than I did by picking up fun songs my whole life. it can take her a long way with a strong foundation.
