On day 27, my friend, Justice, dropped me back off at Tanyard Gap where I hiked north again attempting to catch up with my hiking friends.

Beautiful views from the fire tower. Looking forward to Part II. Even though you had your short slack pack, the return to trail seems to have hit you hard. In the days when horses and mules were the primary farm power sources, farmers in the Middle Tennessee area of my roots would work the animals lightly and back off on their grain on Sunday to avoid what they called "Monday sickness", lethargy and soreness, when the draft animals returned to work on Monday. Seems like you had a case of Monday sickness.

Well I’m back …. You are a trooper. I pray you will catch up with your friends over the next three days. Can I ask what is your average daily milage goal. Being new to your channel it would seem you average well over 16 or 17 miles per day? Five days of good supply is that about 10 lbs additional weight of more like 12 lbs?

How far behind are your videos from our actual calendar day? Meaning I noticed the trees at the fire tower had not leafed out yet but they are here in the SC mountains.
