Join us aboard the stunning Celebrity Ascent for an eventful day at sea! In this video, I take you through our first full day on this brand new cruise ship, showcasing the exclusive experiences and activities we enjoyed. From the early morning surprise of Ocean View Cafe opening at 6am for a delightful breakfast to exploring the Resort Deck and witnessing the lively poolside fun on our sea day. We couldn't miss the chance to experience the extraordinary Magic Carpet, a distinctive feature found only on the Edge Class Ships of Celebrity Cruise lines. Sipping signature drinks while admiring breathtaking ocean views from deck 16 was an unforgettable moment.
Our adventure continued as we headed to the Patio Deck, indulging in watching pickleball games and taking in the allure of the plunge pools. The highlight was exploring Eden during the daylight hours-a mesmerizing space unique to the Edge Class Ships, spanning three full decks at the aft of the ship, offering panoramic views that left us in awe.
After a well-deserved nap post-lunch, we geared up for a delectable dinner at Cyprus, one of the ship's four Main Dining Rooms. The evening was further enhanced by a fantastic headliner show featuring Uptown! To wrap up the night, we relished some desserts at the buffet and might have tested our luck in the Casino before the night's festivities.

How do u get cell service??

You cell phone provider will have a plan, or you can turn it on and use the ships service. Those options are pricey. We do not turn our phones on at sea but do purchase the internet package and we can send texts and video call if we need to.

Too open concept for me. There's not enough variety in the music public areas. Celebrity abandoned their look/feel and made their version of the NCL Prima. Nice in it's own way, don't get me wrong. But it's almost not like a Celebrity ship. It has Celebrity dining options and spaces, art, service, food presentation but not a Celebrity social music space presentation and the ship badly needs some nice lounges for more ambiance and more romantic feel. I'll have to stick with Solstice class and then leave Celebrity if they change their style to this type of ship unfortunately. I don't know why cruise lines feel a need to expand to the point of changing their product. Celebrity had a great product. It wasn't for everyone and in trying to make it for more people, they're losing their very well defined personality.

I do like your view on it, I can see what you’re saying, it’s nice and new but I do see the lack of different smaller spaces. I will be on the Celebrity Reflection later on this year and I will get to see the old charm you mentioned first hand. Ascent was my first impression on Celebrity, and I can’t wait to try the other classes!

@@Kellman9 It's great that you're going to try the other classes of Celebrity ships. Expect less tech and to see some wear and tear on the Reflection and an overall darker color ship in terms of the woods used and such. But it's still a fairly modern ship. I hope you enjoy it as well. But really, cruising is so personal. I feel people develop a relationship with a brand but sometimes brands change with the times and some customers will like the changes while other won't to varying degrees.
