I’ve been following this for a while when her funeral was uploaded on the YT. The family got a hold of her cell phone. They found there was a history of domestic violence and brought this to light. I didn’t see this for myself, but he allegedly (via text) admitted to kicking her in the face at one point in their relationship and asking for forgiveness. I don’t believe this man was afraid of her. He told the officer he took his two guns to the car during their disagreement, he could have left her home then if he truly wanted to de-escalate the situation. It was her house not his. She was a successful businessman woman who had her daughter and granddaughter downstairs when this happened. I don’t know what led her to getting that knife, but we didn’t hear all the evidence. I wouldn’t label her as “crazy”. Even after he unloaded the revolver, he wouldn’t let her daughter come to her side. There is something sinister to me about that. It’s a horrible situation for both families.
I’m sure he didn’t want the daughter to see her like that , and when she had the knife she was walking up to him real fast , Of course he wasn’t scared of her but I’m sure he was scared of the knife which she ran up on him with . You said it was her house and he should have left if u watch the video u can she her clearly blocking the door with A knife in her hand . I don’t understand how women keep putting there selves in this situation , A 133 women & girls die everyday to the hands of A man and guess what they still not learning , 66,000 women died in 2022 due to domestic violence,.
If true this should be in evidence. What everyone can learn from this until then..picking up weapons when you should tell someone to leave n never come back or the other side she picked up a weapon she must not love me never come back is better then fake love and possibly someone dying!

Why was she aggressive? Why wouldn't he leave when she asked him to leave her home. He has beaten her before, there are pictures of her bruised face. All he had to do was leave.

Nah he was amping her asking her if she was gonna stab him and she put the knife down before approaching him, I feel like he wanted to kill her, why would he record if he didn’t think it was gonna help him and he could have been saying anything in the video to make it seem like she ran up on him
Shooting her 6xs is not self defense. They obviously had a tumultuous relationship. You don’t have to shoot someone with a knife 6xs to get them away from you. He was ready to take her life that day no matter what.

I think he was definitely provoking her so he could film how “aggressive” she was because he knew in his heart he wanted to kill her. He thought he was being smart by filming. If he really wanted to “deescalate” the situation, he would have left when she told him to. Also, why shoot to kill? 6 times is excessive over kill and further proofs the point that he ultimately wanted her dead and wanted to be the one to do it. He ain’t worried about prison. This is a hard one… It’s unfortunate that this woman lost her life, however we’re not gonna act like we all didn’t just watch a whole clip of Amanda charging across the room towards this man with a deadly weapon and him actively trying to escape being stabbed… If the argument is that he shot her in self defense, why couldn’t it have been one or two shots instead of six?!!… No matter what in any case this is very unfortunate that her life had been taken.

By the time it gets tot he point you have to pull out a knife when dealing with your fiancé -- even if it's self defense -- that's the point you need to just leave. That's not somebody you need to be in any type of relationship with.

Why do people love being loud and wrong? Self-defence has limitations that Tirrell didn't meet. In Ohio, self-defense applies IF he was in *imminent* danger AND if *proportional* force was used. The first video shows that she put the knife down before approaching him, so he wasn't in imminent danger of being attacked with a weapon. He had to have use proportional force, so reaching down to grab a gun against unarmed person is NOT JUSTIFIED. You really need to educate yourself on what the law does and doesn't allow before fixing your mouth to defend these psychotic, unstable bums out here and victim shaming.

Yeah the first showed she put it down but the second video where she grabbed the phone and was stabbing it shows that she had repossessed the knife. We don’t know if she picked it up again
These are two separate videos spliced together. If you slow down the video she does put the knife down in the first video. The second video starts immediately and you can clearly see a knife in her right hand again attacking this man. Who are the morons who found him guilty?? Especially who ever it was that edited this footage like this you need to change careers...
No one knows what actually took place in its fullness unless they were physically there. This short video does not present enough evidence that he was defending himself. How does anyone in fear for his life have time to selectively make a video that conveniently leaves out when he pulls out a gun. If the jury's rationale is anything like the comments Ive seen- our justice system is in trouble.

She did attack him. So in a way, it was self defense, but 6 shots was to excessive. At that point, he was trying to kill her. One maybe two shots is self defense. He did call the police right away and stood there to speak with them. I say they were both wrong but he should spend time for her death. Maybe not life, but some years.
