I know you have probably already dealt with the pack, but I've seen other hikers actually call Osprey and they send them a replacement while they are on trail (to a resupply location) instead of the back and forth with REI etc. maybe if it fails again give that a try! I hope not! From my hike in 2022 and 2023 quite a few hikers just skip from Tehachapi up to Walker Pass; I thought it was a really nice hike actually, sorta long water, but by then you are used to it. I appreciate the purist connected footsteps.
