I loved your explanation of slavery as a “contract” with both sides benefitting. It really spoke to me as being a slave to Mary, and the end of the daily prayer to her that says “keep me and protect me as your property and possession.”
Thank you Fr. Adam Potter . I said a prayer for you. I was wondering what the 33 Days of Morning Glory was . Accidently I found your You Tube Channel . You guided us so beautifully through prayer. . We really need such good priests in this culture. . God bless all our priests and religious so that they lead us to heaven and finally they themselves enter heaven for eternity . I often prayer for our priests and religious and this Sunday is a good time to reminder to p pray for priests and religious.
Day 5 22-Oct-2021:Thank you Fr Adam.... I'm still here... I realized that when I did my consecration to Mother Mary the first time, I really didn't get it....with your guidance & sharing, I'm getting there.
Thank you Father - please can you put something in the comment section on how a 'shut in' in Canada can get a chain? Why would we not trust Our Blessed Mother with our 'intentions'? The Lord God entrusted her to have His child, with the responsibility of raising Our Lord to maturity, and staying with Him until the end, and we are stingy with giving her our intentions???
God bless you Fr. Adam I’ve been part of this retreat since day 1 but not sure if I’ve officially joined . I’m confused about how to join 😊please someone help me to join in .
Saint Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort (1673-1716), the great apostle of consecration to Mary, calls it "Consecration to Jesus through Mary" (Ad Iesum Per Mariam), and spread that famous short formula: "I am all Yours and all that I have I offer to You, my lovable Jesus, through Mary, Your most holy Mother."

Father I am confused about Jesus' response to Mary at the wedding of Cana when she told him that the wine supply had run out and Jesus said that he couldn't help her now because is wasn't his time for miracles. However Mary told the servants to do as her son told them to do. Jesus then told them to fill the waterpots with water and he proceeded to change the water into wine. Was Mary not listening to Jesus? Did she go against his wishes? I have wondered about his everytime I hear the story of the wedding at Cana. Thanks Father
Question: I’ve never understood why Catholics cite the story about the wedding at Cana (John 2:1-11) in reference to Mary’s intercession with Jesus. Yes, Jesus did what Mary asked-but only after making it clear that it was not her place to ask him: "Woman, what is this concern of yours to me?" Isn’t it obvious that he never intended Mary to have any say in his ministry? Answer: Not according to Jesus himself. He explains his objection this way: “For my hour is not yet come.” He doesn’t say, “For you may not have any say in my ministry” or “For it is not your place to ask anything of me.” He is not objecting to the request, only questioning the timing. When his “hour” arrives, she will ask, and he will hear her. What is Jesus’ “hour”? Throughout John’s Gospel this term refers above all to the “hour” of Jesus’ passion and death (Jn 7:30, 8:20, 12:23, 27, 13:1, 17:1). Jesus in effect is saying, “Why are you interceding with me? It is not yet the hour of my saving death.” In other words, Mary’s intercession, like yours and mine, draws all its power from the sacrifice of Christ. Jesus’ “hour” does not make Mary’s intercession improper or unnecessary; on the contrary, it is the very basis for Mary’s intercession. Note that, even before his “hour,” Jesus granted Mary’s request by turning the water into wine, just as he granted the request of the Canaanite woman who persevered in prayer when Jesus appeared to refuse her request in order to test her faith (Mt 15:21-28). source: Catholic Answers
